Stopping muscle loss

Hi,

I am particularly interested in the topic discussed in this article. My metabolism sucks, I gain muscle and reduce fat very hard, but when I stop exercising the muscle goes away and the fat comes back very quickly.

This article discusses that continuous supply of amino acids will stop muscle loss EVEN IF YOU ARE NOT WORKING OUT REGULARLY.

What can veteran body builders say about this? Can we go on amino acids only, after we have reached the muscle development we want?

**** amino acids. I love working out, I don`t do it just to look good - it makes me feel good about myself too so I am just gonna push the bar until I die.

im certainly not an expert on this but if this were true, i doubt anyone would continue to workout. There may be ways to slow down muscle loss, but you will lose muscle if you dont continue to workout, plain and simple.

Maybe you need to reassess your priorities. Fitness and health is a lifelong commitment. There is no end. I'm not suggesting you quit your job or anything, but maybe you need switch stuff around so you have more time to work out.

It's my experience in life that there are no shortcuts.
