stomach 'pouch'

Hey guys..Have a question for you...

I'm not yet even 20, and the stomach pouch has become an issue for me. I've heard that this physical feature can come from genes (?), if so, it runs in the family. Anyway, I am naturally tall and very skinny; 5'5" and about 107 pounds. I've noticed this issue becoming increasingly obvious over the past few months. Being as skinny as I am, as I mentioned, it can be quite obvious and it bothers me. I am willing to work on this, if someone can direct me as to how. I've searched countless articles and searched the web,..but I cant seem to find any advice on how to target and help improve this SPECIFIC area/issue. Has anyone had any luck or can give any tips on a workout routine that will improve this? Thanks so much
 
i'm not too sure but i hear this can be caused by weak abdominal muscles. that its not bodyfat but weak muscles causing a pouch or the stomach to distend if thats the word. or even something like the enternal organs pushing against the weak ab muscles.

like i said i'm not 100% sure this is accurate

their might be specific exercises you can too. try searching for something along these lines and let us know what you find if no one else chimes in. :)
 
abear: thanks for the response. I'll look into your suggestion, although I wouldnt think it to be an issue of weak stomach muscles; i have a pretty good abdominal muscle factor...I just lost the surface look of it when I stopped doing crunches and abdominal exercises every night. Now I need this muscle to surface again!
