Stomach fat question

Hi! Just a little bit of background here: I'm a 19 yr old female and at college this year, I was terrified of the Freshman 15 so I started going to the gym more and started losing weight instead of gaining it...I had just wanted to maintain my weight but I'm not complaining! lol

I've lost about ten pounds or so, and now I have more an hourglass shape. However, I do have a little bit of a problem. My stomach is flabby, more so my lower abdomen. I'm skinnier in the area right below my chest, then my waist goes in, and then my stomach goes out. Whenever I sit down, I always notice two stomach rolls. This might sound dumb, but I'm kind of wondering if it is possibly just my posture, because when I sit a certain way, after awhile, I notice a horizontal line between my two rolls. Ugh. But if you look at me standing up, it doesn't look like I have rolls at all. I only notice it when I sit. Could I just have bad posture?

Thanks! Although if anyone has some suggestions to get rid of this belly fat, I would appreciate it. My stomach is too squishy I guess you'd call it, lol. :)

Do some core exercises like planks and renegade rows. You can not 'target' fat, but these exercises will help stabilize and tighten your mid section.

Wow was just talking about this earlier, yep could just be posture, i have the same problem. The other thing you just wanna be mindful of is that you are training you core well, a central abdominal exercise, obliques, and lower abs. If you've lost weight is sounds like your diet is right on track, so congrats :)

I think the planks are helping...my lower abdomen has been sore from doing them! Haha. Is stomach fat supposed to jiggly? I read somewhere that it gets more jiggly as you lose more weight...and my stomach has def been more jiggly then usual haha sorry if that sounds really dumb!

Hi, better to have exercises that concentrates more on flattening the stomach such as sit-ups. Several sit-ups a day and doing it daily or regularly could really help you have a flatter stomach.

Sit ups are awful. Crunches, maybe. Sit ups...never.

Yeah, what SXIPro said, and don't do ANYTHING every day. Everything needs to rest at some point.

What were you doing at the gym when you lost the weight? I'm going to guess it was a lot of cardio. Core exercises are key to overall health. I love planks, and adding some swiss ball moves will add variety.

Yes, it was mainly cardio. Ellipetical (excuse my spelling!), cycling, and the stair thing. Every now and then I would lift weights, but not so much. However, I did just find some random free weights at my house, so I'm planning on implementing that into my program.
