Still Sore

Training while sore won't impact strength or results (there's some very good research on this); having said that, if you're so sore that it hurts to move (severe DOMS, which can happen at the beginning of a new routine), then skipping an extra day may not be a bad idea.

However, the better question is: why are you still sore after 48 hours? Unless this is a brand-new program/routine, you really shouldn't be feeling severe soreness after 48 hours...

Haha, I get this after heavy squat days, too.

BTW I didn't mean I get sore for over 48 hours or anything, I just ment I get sore after heavy squats for the day after usually.

as bipennate said either drop a day or drop the weight for a day.
i very rarely get doms but i workout fullbody 3x a wk so doms doesnt really get time to set in:D

lucky you! Grr... :)
what is your rep range, weight like for them?

well, when i think heavy squats, i think heavy weight low reps :p i never go over 3 reps :p I focus on getting power, so i keep the intensity from 80-90% sometimes above 90 but not all the time.

Cool.. Toronto eh? Which gym do you go to?

I'm a student at the university of toronto, so when the school year starts up again, which is pretty soon, ill be hitting a gym on campus. For now im going to a local YMCA in brampton.

Squats make my legs sore everytime and ass, including right now.
