Steroids Info

Hi iam looking at this in more detail and would like more researched based evidence but even if its just a link with info it would help.

Im interesed to know more about steroids in general and the different gains etc for users wanting growth etc. Dont worry its not for me :p

Im also interested in steroids for rehab / health issues. Looking at what difference they may make to someone training in the gym who has been placed on steroids for health puposes like lung problems etc.

Any ideas / info????

If its not for you, then what's it for?

A few people on here have dabbled with them...these people are unlikely to give you any information because they want NO LIABILITY for what happens when you or 'your friend' goes on a poorly designed cycle and you end up growing tits and losing your balls.

Seriously...do NOT mess with this stuff unless you've educated yourself to PhD level of knowledge on the stuff.
If you're writing a paper on anabolic steroids, tell us and you might actually get some responses.

You won't find many research based articles looking at anabolics from that perspective, it's still considered taboo in many areas of the world. As for rehabilitation, there are many better options to consider with less adverse events. I would suggest, since you're in England, you could talk to a health care provider (perhaps an endocrinologist) about these things. Possession is legal over there, so I'd imagine that the sole idea of anabolics isn't quite as bad.

The whole, 'it's not for me' line is sort of condemning when you're only asking for information and not the actual acquisition of steroids.

Steroids are not used for rehab. Health issues are completely different and the dosage is not something that anyone would use who is looking to build muscle.

With absolutely no experience personally, my opinion is that, unless you are a professionally bodybuilder, the cons severely outweigh the pros.

Haha, good spot

Maybe he just means he's gaining research for someone who also isn't planning on taking any :D

To the OP - If you're gonna take them then there isn't much anyone can say to talk you out of it. People usually only ask about them once they're pretty sure they want to try them but one thing I would say is make sure you're bloody well educated before making that personal decision

This site really isn't the place to be asking though, it's far more of a family friendly type place.

Hi guys you definitely miss interpretated my post on more than one count so i will try to rectify.

1. anabolic steroids yes i would like further information for a personal reason with regards to just boosting my knowledge etc due to this now getting bigger and bigger (pardon the pun) over here and many people dabbling etc so it would be nice to know more info. Thats all....... would never want them / need them but would be nice to know more on something that i believe in a few years will be a bigger problem than people realise due to the negative effects they have on the heart io believe.

2. When i was talking about steroids for health reasons i was talking about steroids that clients may need for what ever reason. Say something like a cortisone injection. What impact may that have in someone trying to lose weight. Would it???? Would it effect in a negative way???
probably asking for too much so apologies but thanks for getting back.

Anabolic steroids are completely different than glucocorticoiods (cortisol), which are actually almost completely catabolic. My suggestion for now is to read general info (wikipedia perhaps) and then return with more specific questions.

Steroids are not used for rehab.

well, depends on what sort of "steroids" we are talking about. As Hoss pointed out:

"Anabolic steroids are completely different than glucocorticoiods (cortisol), which are actually almost completely catabolic."

However, you talk with most doctors and they will simply say "steroid". Steroidal creme, steroid shot....Throwing it around quite loosely. But to someone who doesn't know, they may think they are the same......

Yeah, true. I was referring to AAS. Should have clarified, my bad. In any case, I don't consider cortisol rehab. I think of rehab more in terms of PT or something. Speaking of which, I just got a cortisol shot in my knee today. Go steroids! :D

you might wanna go check out
they do have a section on for AAS, and some people there will probably be able to shed some additional light on all this.

they are a hardcore bunch over there...expect to catch some **** from people there, but ignore it.

disclaimer: make sure you know exactly what you're doing before you ever mess with any of this stuff. Yes, it can be done safely. But it can quickly get out of hand and permanent damage can be done. Be smart and safe is all I'm saying.
