A Blue Print for Safe, Rapid Weight Loss
You have probably tried many diets in your life time, and all of them perhaps lead back to where you started. Many weight loss plans are an end to itself. Here are a few I've tried, Atkins, Lemon Diet, boot camp style work outs.. The problem with these is that you eventually go back to your old habits of eating and have not developed any life long good eating habits. Oh sure, you will loose the weight but its only a matter of time before your back to your old ways. The more conservative approach is to eat sensibly and be more active. However most people will not archive results fast enough and give up. Let me speak for myself.... I need encouragement and results to continue on! I need a Plan!
The Plan = Control the quality and quantity of our energy intake!
First step in this plan is to FIRE YOUR old energy management system. So far it's done a pretty good job of getting you where your at today and he just has got to go! Once your can visually recognize what this old system has done to you over time, you will have no problems in giving it the BOOT.
You will need to revamp your old eating system (I call it your Fueling System). And we start this by changing the way we fuel your energy system. (BTW, by doing this you can lose 2-5lbs per week) And here are the 2 main objectives we are going to take to do it:
1.Control your energy intake
2.Managing your insulin pump.
For the main objective - Control your energy intake.
Look around and take notice what foods we are fueling our bodies with; Breads, pastas, processed foods (processed foods? Why are those a bad choice? More on that later), candy bars... oh my. These particular foods cause our blood sugar to rise dramatically which makes our insulin rise. These high glycimic foods (foods that are high in sugar content) are converted to energy and any left over energy is then turned to FAT! The more of these you eat, the fatter you get because you cant burn off the excess energy fast enough for it not to be converted to fat. You in short become a great processing center to convert leftover energy to FAT.
Manage your Insulin Pump! Fuel up 6 times a Day
In a recent study, 2 groups of people were studied. The first ate 3 big meals per day and the other ate 6x smaller meals per day. Both groups at the same foods, same calories. Surprisingly (or maybe not) the group who ate 6x a day lost more weight. Why? It seems their blood sugar did not spike continually causing a insulin rush to convert sugar to energy and then left over energy to fat. The moral of story? Your body can only absorb so much energy at a time and any left over goes to FAT.
It seems our young kids have it right! Their bodies are telling them to eat small snacks throughout the day.. What is their bodies telling them? Fuel me up every couple of hours so I have energy to use, but not enough to covert to fat. Of course that has gotten a little out of hand because we are feeding our kids high glycimic sugary foods that exceed their energy needs thus making the insulin pump turn on to 'overdrive' causing those excess calories to be turned to fat! WE now have FAT kids.... this can be changed to once you understand how to fuel up your body!
