Well, over the past year I was really poor. Not that I haven't been poor before. But this time I was poor and worked at a restaurant. So I ate lots of fattening free food to save money on groceries. Well, I saved money, but gained 100 lbs over the past year. So now that I'm not as tight on money as I was before, I just started a new diet. This diet consists of vegetables, fresh or frozen only, boneless skinless chicken, steak, and soups. Also, my biggest problem is I love beer, so I'm not cutting that out of the diet. I've switched from a 150 calorie beer to a 110 calorie beer that I still like. This is my sole intake of empty calories. Vegetables, like asparagus, fresh green beans, grilled on george foreman grill in some garlic herb marinade are great and flavorful. Those little green giant packages of frozen vegetables, broccoli with low fat cheese sauce, creamed spinach, and the brussel sprouts in butter sauce (fake) are excellent. Soups, any that are low fat low cal. Grilled chicken. Steaks, as my only real fat intake, are still low in overall calories, and are EXTREMELY filling and satisfying as far as hunger goes and packed with protein. At peak I weighed 270+. After about a week I'm down to 260. So its working. How does my diet sound, nutritionally speaking? I must say it does feels really good so far.
