i started going to the gym seriously around 5/5... this is my progress as of today... but i'm not done yet!!

i found it helped me a lot (motivation wise) to keep taking pictures weekly and noticing the difference....
 
wow i appriciate the positive feedback - that put a big smile on my face!!

i go to the gym every night... and i eat well better.. if i snack its on sunflower seeds or cheerios.... i usually make my lunch now (instead of the dfac food)... =)
 
WOW!!!That is such a great difference. You look amazing. Can I ask what you do at they gym(especially for the abs)? I've been looking for good workout tips.Way to go!

petite mint - i'll do my workouts one day arms, shoulders, chest with the next day being legs, back, abs and it goes in that patterns every other day ya know?

my workout is like this:

arms, shoulders, chest

4 sets - 15 reps, 12 reps, 10 reps then 10 reps again

dumbell lying tripcep extension
tricep overhead extension
dumbell kickback
dumbell press
dumbell curl
dumbell fly
smith upright row
bench
pec fly machine
tricep pulldown
chest pulldown (on lat pulldown machine)
cable curl


legs, back, abs

4 sets - 15 reps, 12 rep, 10 reps and another 10 reps

leg press
calf raise on leg press machine
hamstring curl
hip abduction
hip adduction (my favorite!!!)
squat
lat pulldown
back pulldown (exactly like a tricep pull down but arms out straight)
rower
dumbell shrug
for abs i usually do some sit ups, oblique crunches, rocky sit ups, and frog kicks


If you have any questions about what something means just ask! also cardio depends on how i'm feeling that day (sometimes a walk to the supermarket or tredmill)
 
hey, 1.5lbs is still excellent! remember that you've lost the "easy" part, and now it's probably be slower because you're thinner, and also bc you're building a lot of muscles!
Maybe you should also chek the changes in your body fat (I think it's possible to mesure it with certain scales); then you'll see that it is reducing, even though you don't lose that much weight.
 
whoa thats a pretty serious difference in under 30days. Way to go. You're face and you're stomach are looking alot more toned and sexy.

keep up the grat work. Just think of where you will be in another 30days

it makes me laugh to see my getting tanner too (i started tanning around the time i started going to the gym)
 
even with that 1.5 you can still tell a difference! notice in your side photos the crease in your back in the beginning, is not a crease at all anymore but a beautiful curve! you look great!

snobunny - how ya doing girl? you keep me motivated!

well i got down to 171, then jumped up to 173 for a week, now im at 172. but i havent strayed from my program, and i have been doing lots of weight training, so i might be able to link those extra two pounds with muscle gain.

you keep me motivated too! new month! lets kick junes butt!
 
the past few days i've been bad (eatting a lot - all healthy food but still eatting a lot).

so june 1st is pay day and i have night class so that day i'm going to the commissary stocking up on healthy foods and i'm really gonna focus!

*BIG NEWS* my husband (who i havent seen in almost 3 weeks now since he got transferred) hasn't seen me since i really started going to the gym and getting in shape but he will be coming to visit me for 5 days in early july!! =) very excited for him to see me in shape!
