Squats or Deadlifts?

Okay, i'd like to know whats better for the glutes, squats or deadlifts?
I know its good to incorporate both on the routine, but which one hits the glutes harder?

I don't think this question can be answered as a "what is better" type. I know squats always hit me harder than deadlifts, but I love my deadlifts too.

If you can only do one in your routine, rotate them every six weeks, keep your body from adapting.

Wide stance box squats.

Or you could just kill two birds with one stone-bent leg good mornings. ;)

The Westside Crew typically rotates squats, deads, and good mornings every three weeks and their results speak for themselves...oh wait, you didn't mention anything about wanting to get stronger, nm.

I'd say do it and see what happens, you should be able to feel it. I'd say squats for me though.

squats hit me harder, but i'd say do both...in fact, I'd say do squats and sldl on leg days, and 'normal' deads on back day, with enough recovery in between so the lower back is ready to be blasted by the deadlifts.
