speed box squats %

i am doing speed box squats on fridays now, and i am wondering what % of a 1RM of my best box squat i should use.

westside barbell reccommends 50-60% WITH bands or chains, so should i go with 60-70% without chains/bands?

i am getting chains and bands soon by the way ;D

one moe thing--does the weight really matter THAT MUCH as long as you are developing maximum force and power?

I don't think the weight matters as long as it is enough so you can feel it. When you do squats do you need to take your body weight into accout as well when you are calculating, since you are lifting your body (at least everything above the knees) as well as the barbell? Like if you weigh 200 and your 1RM box squat is 300, then 60% of 300 would be 180, but if you consider that you are lifting say 150 pounds of your body PLUS 300 when you squat, that is 450 pounds. 60% of 450 is 270 less the 150 pounds of body weight leaves 120 pounds on the bar.

i dunno about that one.
i think the way westside does it, is they take their contest squat, and work with 50% of that + bands and chains, disregarding body weight.
