Soreness

Are you supposed to get sore every time you work out, or only when you first start working a muscle group?

I typically do 3-5 sets, and fail on the last one, but rarely get sore. I used to though.

add more weight and strain like ur gonna **** until the last one.

soreness = growth
but growth doesnt always = soreness

mostly at first you become sore because of the introduction of weightlifting to your muscles ...
but after awhile you can usually do an intense workout and still not get sore ... dont let that get you down ... your muscles are still growing ... just make sure u have alot of protein in your diet.

i read this off an article somewhere ... but i forget the site.. sorry.
dont be let down if u dont feel soreness ... there is still growth.

also something very important... be sure you have your technique down (if you dont growth will be slowed down... and you can injure yourself) and if it feels like its a bit easier to finish reps .. up the weight a lil.

Oh my god... I'm so relieved.

My friend said I plateaued. I haven't been building for that long, so it seems strange that I would plateau so soon. I do enough weight for myself (I come close to failing on every set, except for the last, on which I do fail.)
