Soreness

I have gotten to a point in my workouts to where i do not get sore the next day like i used to. After the workout i am pretty worn out and my muscles are tired. However, after a couple of hours i do not feel soreness or tightness like i used to before. And the next day i am sure i would not be able to lift as much, but i am not sore like before. My question is am i not doing enough. I have a list of at least 5 excercises for a muscle group that i do in a row and i do three sets of each. I start with a heft amount of weight and add five pounds each set. I do not take much of a break between sets either. Should i increase the amount of sets or lift more? Also how should move up in weight. i Any advice would be helpful.

are you reaching total failure in your last reps? if not I think maybe you need to add weight in general. But I am not an expert

well from experience and what people have told me, you have to lift a lot of weight and that requires you to rest more. If you are lifting heavy you must rest at least 2 min between each set so your muscles have time to rest. That way you are able to lift the same amount the next set, but with less reps. You should get to the point where your last set only consists of 1, 2 or 3 reps onlly. You shouldn't be doing 10 reps in all your sets, if you are, then you arent working your muscles enought. You need to lift heavier if thats the case.

this is from experience combined with what peole have told me.

It worked for me(espcecially in the chest area) because I feel sore the next morning

Ok, i'm just going to experiment next week and see. I plan on doing more sets and i'm going to keep going til i fail. I usually only fail on the last two sets.
