SoonToBeMRS Diary....

I made it through the first week of eating the nutriotinists plan. I feel great. I haven't been stuffed and rarely do I feel hungry. I can't wait for next Thursday when I get to weigh in for the 2 week time frame. I hope to see some results.

Tonight is cardio night at the gym. 1 hour. Makes me sleepy just thinking about it.

Off to read other's diaries for some much need inspiration.

I've been so busy! We are preparing to put our house on the market. So, I've been spending countless hours in the yard and its finally getting there!

I ddin't make it to the gym this weekend but I figure putting in about 12 hours doing labor outside covers that.

I have a followup with my nutritionist this week and cannot wait. I will be getting on the scale for the first time in 2 weeks. I weighed in on her scale at 204. I'm really hoping to see number below 200. Wonder how fesible that is?

I am really getting use to eating every 2 to 3 hours. My cravings are non-existent. I'm feeling healthier every day.

Hey SoontobeMrs,

I've been meaning to visit your diary for ages, but illness prevented me.. Your workout plan is intense!!! Do you like exercise? (I do, I really do, even with all the pain it involves!)

I like your idea of eating every 2 to 3 hours - I'm pretty much following the same plan. You have the right idea so I guess all you need to do is keep it up!

Good luck with the move and selling of the house - I know it's hard work! I hope you have time to gym soon, so we can compare notes! Cheerio!

THanks for stopping by Rho. As you can see it doesn't get much action over here!

Sorry to hear you have been ill. I hope you are feeling better.

I do enjoy exercise, once I make it to the gym that is. That always seems to be the hardest part...actually making it to the gym. Once Im there I really get into it. I feel so relaxed afterward and man do I sleep well.

I see that you live in London....one my favorite places and I often say I was born on the wrong side of the pond. I spent a summer there a few years ago and went back in last year. I just love it!

Hey SoontobeMrs

Action is underrated. It's your diary, which is the most important thing.. Plus the truth is the more people that visit your diary, the more 'obligated' you are to keep up with theirs, which might make you feel guilty if you're unable to do so. On the other hand, it's great having action because it's a constant reminder to keep you focused on your goal.

I used to have the same problem (I still do, from time to time). The thought of going to the gym always got me surly and resentful at the world for 'not accepting me the way I am (i.e. overweight) and forcing me to do this'. Yes, silly me. But I forced myself to go for the first few times, and then I sorta started really liking the feeling afterwards, so I was keen to duplicate it. As you said, the relaxation afterwards is so much more enjoyable (but not the sleep - I'm usually in a lot of pain!)

Yes, I live in bonny ol' London. She's behaving herself today (the weather, that is) so I've been out and about (won't go into detail here but will update in my own diary).

Keep up the work and don't forget that you can find whatever motivation you're looking for, as long as you search for it. The more diaries I read (and comment on) the more I find that my diary attracts those who are willing to work hard, motivate and be motivated themselves. It's great - it really is! :)

Thanks! You just put it all into perspective Rho.

My day is going well. I had a really good weekend and today I went to the nutritionist for my f/u appointment. I've lost 8 pounds in 2.5 weeks! :eek2: YAY!

My nutrionist gave me gold stars after reading my food journal.

I've set a few goals for myself for the next two weeks. Here they are:

1) No treat snack unless I went to the gym that day.
2) Add 2 to 3 lunch time walks to routine
3) Get in a minimal 3 hours of cardio and 2 hours of weights per week and the walks at lunch don't count here.
4) stop using 1/2 and 1/2 in my coffee
5) Be proud of myself for what I have already accomplished! :jump:

I'm really getting into this LIFESTYLE change. I feel better, more satisfied and have energy. Most of all I have a real sense of accomplsihment.

Go ME!

Oh how I long for the day when my thighs do not rub together.

I just got back from a 3 mile lunchtime walk. Its a perfect day in Atlanta. The sun is shining and the temp was just right. Really nice breeze. We have city park 2 blocks from the office. Its a huge park that covers several miles. I really love walking there at lunch.

Today has been a good day so far. I plan on keeping it that way.

Here are my meals for the day:

M1: 1 scoop choc whey protein shake with banana and smart balance PB.
M2: 1 whole wheat english muffin with 2 laughing cow cheeses
M3: 2 slices ww sugar free bread with 1 boca burger, mustard. Side of chopped raw veggies
M4: Light & Fit yogurt with banana and 1/2 svg almonds
M5: Balance Bar (15 g protein) and small apple
M6: grilled trout, quinoa and salad

100 oz water today.

Tonight I have an hour long step aerobics class. This should be fun seeing how I did an hour weight lifting class last night and my legs are screaming today.

I just love when being healthy feels healthy. That's the kind of day I'm having.

I found a quote that is hanging on my computer and my fridge it says "If you want to see your body change, you've got to put in the work. It's that simple."

TTFN!

:::YAWN:::::

I had to take my fiance to the airport this morning for an early flight. So I've been at work since 6:30. I am so tired at the moment.

So last night I took an hour long step aerobics class, this after the night before when I took a weight lifting class for an hour...I've got aches today in places I never knew could ache. I mean who knew? Despite all the soreness, I feel great. I'm feeling stronger and confident in my ability to succeed.

My goal is to be down 40 pounds by wedding time (Nov. 3, 07) which is very doable. That's about 1.75 per week til then. I'm already down 8 to 9. Yipee!

Today I will have another hour long (4 mile) walk at lunch.

My meals are as follows:

M1: choco whey protein shake with PB
M2: ww english muffin with 2 laughing cows and white peach
M3: 1/2 cup rice, 1/2 cup black beans, 4 oz chicken, veggies and salsa.
M4: light & fit yogurt with 1/2 svg almonds and orange
M5: balance bar and small apple
M6: Choc whey protein shake with banana and PB

WO: 1 hour weight lifting class.

I will also need to walk the dog when I get home today. I have a great dane who I just love!

Ugh. I feel fat and gross today. Lovely old Aunt Flo's fault. I wish she'd show up and get the hell out ASAP. I hate how this week of the month can make you feel as though you have gained 40 pounds.

So, I don't think I have the healthiest lunch today. Unfortunately I didnt realize til I already paid for it. So I'm picking through trying to eat only the good for me stuff (i.e., lettuce, cukes, tomato and onion). The chicken has a little BBQ sauce which I try to avoid due to the sugar. I picked all the darn chips off the top and trashed those. The menu didnt mention chips. So Im gonna eat my lettuce and cup of soup which should be too bad. Fire roasted tomato.

I'm not going to the gym today as I left my bag at home and its 30 min from my house. However, the lawn needs mowed so I figure I'll do that and then take the dog for a run. Better than nothing I suppose. I'm just a little bummed with myself today and am trying not to use that as an excuse to over indulge.

Here is the meal plan for the day: Comments are always welcome.

M1: choc whey protein shake
M2: ww english muffin with 1 laugh cow wedge, boca burger and mustard
M3: bbq chick salad no dressing and cup of fire roasted tom soup
M4: yogurt with raspberries
M5: balance bar and small apple
M6: protein shake
TS: if I have anything it might be a handful of nuts or something.

As I said, intensive workouts... You ain't playing!
Sorry about the 'red', as I sometimes like to call it. Mine came really early (I think it's down to stress) so I spent my whole Saturday in bed but decided to go out walking on Sunday to make up for it. I also had the urge to just eat.... and eat... thankfully I had no cake around me so I just had a tortilla with a butternut spread and then a couple of squares of dark chocolate (that's the only sweet thing I tend to keep around me nowadays...so I'm not tempted). Still, it was over my daily limit, so I felt crap and not in control, which is annoying..

Shame about the gym - still, as you said, there's loads of other calorie burning stuff like the lawn, the dog...wedding preparations (by the way, how are those going?). A friend of mine's getting married on the 30th and she's lost a heck of a lot of weight just by running around trying to get everything sorted out in time. Anyhoo, work calls.

Enjoy your day today! Ciao :)

Its been a while since I last posted. I've been super busy at work. However, I've been plugging away at my weight loss effort. Sticking to the plan and working out.

I've gotten into group fitness classes at my gym. MOn & Wed I am taking an hour weight lifting class that focuses on the entire body. On Tue I am taking step aerobics for an hour and on Thurs I am taking a kick boxing class for an hour.

I feel so strong!

Whoa you,

You sound like you've been really busy for real. Well done! As usual your intense classes are sure to work out... Aside from being so sore afterwards, the pain sure feels good, doesn't it..

Well done on sticking to the plan.. I look forward to reading your updates..

Have a lovely weekend! :)

Thanks Rho and Natalie. I always love the comments! I'll stop by your pages as soon as I get a moment today.

So I got on the scale this morning and haven't seen a big difference in the last week. I hope it isnt plateau time. Im trying to convince myself not to fret because I feel good. But, you know how that goes.

Here's the plan for today:

M1: protein shake with banana, peanut butter and flaxseed
M2: ww bread with 2 laughing cow cheeses and water.
M3: faux spaghetti (noodles = squash and zuchini) and pasta sauce and small side of watermelon.
M4: 4 oz light & fit yogurt with raspberries and almonds
M5: balance bar and nectarine
M6: 4oz chicken breast, 1/2 cup brown rice stuffed in a bellpepper and baked.

Workouts: 3 mile walk at lunch and 1 hour weight lifting class tonight.

Oh Oh,

Don't fret - please don't fret. I allowed panic to get the better of me and it wasn't a pretty sight. Really..

It might be plateau time; it might not be.. The important thing is you're losing inches, and you're sticking to your plan. That is by FAR more important than anything the scales say. Anything could affect the movement of the scales - hormonal changes, water retention, etc. Don't make the same mistake I made and dwell on the numbers - I think it's much better to go with how many inches you're losing, how your clothes fit, etc..

Your food plan today looks good. Keep up with the good work. You know I'm rooting for you! :)

Thanks Rho!

I'm doing alright with the little weight loss news today. I just got back from my 3 mile hike and feel great. If there is one thing I know for sure its that you cannot measure merely by the number.

Okay. Welcome to day 3904872389470293 of my weight loss journey. Well, so its only been 6 weeks of the new lifestyle but it feels like an eternity somedays.

I had a step class last night and I can feel every fiber of my being today. Its all shouting at me. I'm trying to convince myself that I can make it through a weight lifting session tonight.

I'm really enjoying my group fitness classes. Its so much more fun than spending time on cardio machines. I find that I push myself much harder in class because I'm competitive like that.

I have to go at lunch and get more workout shorts. Mine are all too big now. :jump: YAY!

Here's the lineup of food today.
M1: protein shake with banana, PB and flaxseed
M2: 1 pack of grits with svg cheese
M3: salad with veggies and 2 slices ww with turkey and mustard
M4: yogurt with almonds and watermelon
M5: balance bar & pluot
M6: protein shake

WO: 1 hour weight lifting class.
