So to start, the basics (pardon the mix of empirical and metric but I'm a confused Canadian! Plus, cm and lbs are each the smaller of the two scales which makes it easier to track change):
Current
Weight: 176 lbs
Chest:98 cm
Waist: 91 cm
Hips:105 cm
Thigh: 61 cm
Goal Weight: 150lbs
(I am not sure what my "goal" measurements should be, but will be tracking them for progress anyways to see where I end up)
Battle-Plan (copy and pasted from my intro thread!)
1. STOP EATING AT THE DAMNED FOOD COURT. This is self-explanatory.
2. Pack a lunch to work. I bought 2 weeks worth of frozen lunches, plus I try to take a piece of fruit or a granola bar. Yesterday I got to bring leftover greek salad
3. Would it kill me to actually cook once in a while? Even if frozen entrees are less bad than the food court, it would be better if I cooked my own meals. I'm not a bad cook per se, I just don't like to cook. I need to get over that.
4. Cut down on the pop. I haven't drank full-sugar pop for like two years, and actually prefer the taste of diet now (regular tastes *too* sweet), but all that other junk in there can't be good. I'm going through approximately a litre and a half a day - one or two of the single-serving bottles at work, plus I pour a big glass when I get home from 2L bottles I keep in stock.
5. Replace pop with water, then double the amount. At one point I was drinking like 3-4L of water a day (and running to the bathroom constantly), and it was during that time I was consistently losing weight.
6. Start up exercising again! I have had a problem with this one especially. I recently started a new job in retail, and after being on my feet all dang day, the last thing I want to do is jump around on them some more. I've gone back to doing sit-ups each night, so that's a start, but I know I need to push myself some more. I think the gym that's in the mall I work in is still taking money from my credit card for a membership, so I think I will get back in there instead of the aerobic workout dvd I have at home. Biking or spinning might be easier to handle since I'll be sitting, and then maybe get back to a little bit of muscle training?
A little about me - I'm 22 years old, and I just finished university (well, I have one more class left, it's a night course starting in July since I was short one class). I'm working retail right now, and I have the additional stress of trying to find "career" work, which is hard with a liberal arts degree and no real experience. I would hate to think I spent $40k just to work for $9 an hour. I play video games too, mostly World of Warcraft, though I like a lot of RPG-genre titles and will pick them up from time to time.
Oh, I also have a Calorie King account, and I will post the link to my CK blog as soon as I bother getting it up and running
