Hi and welcome to my Diary!

Here's the stats;

I am a 29 (almost 30) year old female. Currently I weigh 292 pounds. My highest weight has been about 305 and have recently shed about 10lbs in a month or so just watching what I have been eating and cutting down on calories. I would love to lose about 150 pounds, but am setting my goal at 100 to start and then re-evaluating from there. About 5 years ago a lost 85 pounds and got down to 185 and looked fabulous!!! However, I hit a few bumps in the road and ended up gaining all of that back plus more.

I am at a point in my life where I no longer won't to be a slave to my weight!!!!! So, I have started to do some major thinking about why I am overweight and what's stopping me from getting to a healthy weight.

My plans are to cut back on the amount that I eat (portion control) and get more active. I have a very busy career, but haven't been making the time or effort to get to the gym. I have had a membership at Curves for over a year and haven't been able to make it there more than once in the past 4 months.

My troubles are that I get really motivated and can stick with something for a couple of weeks, but then inevitably something comes along that gets in the way and I fall off the wagon.

I am looking for some people who are going through the same struggles that I am and someone who can encourage me to keep on going on going even when I want to stop and sabatoge myself.

Well, this is getting to be pretty long - amazing what happens when you just start pouring your heart out! Thanks for listening and any advise or support would be greatly appreciated!:)

Motivation is the key to weight loss. If you lose any, there are a lot of people here more than willing to try to help bring it back. :)

Good luck on your weight loss journey!

Welcome and good luck. Sounds like you have made a good start. I find that keeping a diary and posting here, even if things aren't going to plan really helps to keep me in check. It's harder to let things slip when you have people checking in on you and rooting for you. Also there are so many people here who have the same experiences and can understand what it is like. Good luck smileyface!!!

Welcome to your diary. You'll get lots of motivation from all of the people here. If you're busy, try incorporating exercise into your daily work routine like taking the stairs or walking during your lunch break. The important thing is just to incorporate a bit of activity even if it doesn't include actually going to the gym.

Good luck with everything
