size32someday journal of doom and despair

Good job on makin a good choice at mcflabbo!

How about a tiny exercise goal like exercise 2 outta three days for 20 minutes?

You just need a momentum starter

I agree with Brawny, get yourself a small objective just for today..worry about tomorrow when it gets here...get out and take a 30 minute brisk walk today...it will do your heart, soul and mind good! You don't need any equipment or special clothes to take a walk! I always feel better after I get the blood moving. Good choice at McD's too...not sure I could have pulled that one off! You might try writing down your longterm goals and then setting some short-term objectives to work toward meeting those goals...a sense of accomplishment always helps me along the way. How to you eat an elephant? One bite at a time...How do you lose weight? One pound/kg at a time! Sucks...but true! Whatever you do...don't quit...don't you quit, don't you even think about quitting!

AHeya Mark :)

Now Bread........Sigh......I love bread, i am a bread snob so i din't like cheap crappy bread but fresh (especially home made) bread just calls to me......Butter.......sigh......OK STOP Kate lol!!!! No more talking about awesome yummy food.
I will totally boycot your diary if the next topic of conversation is chocolate!!!!!!! :smilielol5:

:iagree: :iagree: I totally agree with Sarah. Slow and steady is cool but don't quit!!!!! We wont let you :)

brawny - yea im thinking of starting to do pushups and situps.

Sarah - thanks they are good ideas. I dont get out much.

Kate - ok no more talks of yummy food :)

I got up late the past few days. Both days my weigh in was 206. im not sure if what i lost from 209 to 206 was real weight but I was happy to see some kind of movement anyway. I think it may be from getting the carbs out of my system. I hope everyone has had a good weekend.

well done for resisting those foods. I'm not actually sure if fake butter is better than real butter? I dont know these things! I know that olive oil is good for you, so a butter made from that would be better I think. I dont think the few pounds i have lost is real weight either but more bloat lol...but it does make you feel better and healthier.

:iagree: with brawny. A weekly goal should help get things moving.

Thinking about doing pushups and situps is good. Letting us all know that you're going to hit 100 pushups and situps by Friday is better *wink*

Thanks for stopping by Tink :)

Hey feeling gooder not doing so well with this as you have guessed.

Thanks brawny

well today is march 1st. my weigh in was 205. so i didnt make my goal of 200 by the end of feb. I wasnt even close. oh well. I think my goal was to aggressive since i set it to far into the month. a week or two had already passed. what a bummer.

I am going to shoot for 195 by march 31st. hopefully this is a realistic goal. I need to start tracking my food again and get some exercise.

Hey size32someday,

I guess Feb. is a jinx on several of us...I didn't have a specific number in mind, but my results were not as much loss as I would have liked either. I just keep trudging on and keep doing the next right thing and I'm sure it will come off...it just takes time...sucks!

Your March goal sounds achievable to me...I've heard a 3-5 pound weightloss in a month is a healthy rate...I always want more than that...but we don't always get what we want do we?!

Keep at it and don't give up, don't give up, don't give up! I'm not!!

Sarah

Inertia dude... It's hard to get started at first but once that ball starts moving, it gets a lot easier.

Start small with an activity you'd enjoy but main thing is to start. We'll provide encouragement and offer suggestions along the way but until you take those first steps there's not much more we can do to help.

Hi Sarah dont be discouraged about feb you have achieved so much and all you need to do is keep up what your doing because what your doing obviously works for you. keep it up and blast through those plateau's.

hi Feeling Gooder yea I know your right.

Hi brawny actually i do have trouble with my shoes. sox also. i used to be able to just lean over and lift my foot up and put my sock on. the same with my shoes. Not anymore now i have to sit down now.

My diet has been ok during the day but im having trouble with having massive cravings for sharp cheese and crackers later in the night. Im not so worried about the cheese but the amount of crackers im consuming and it keeps happening every night. Also Ive substituted bread for roman lettuce. so I have thin and trim turkey in between 2 pieces of lettuce instead of bread. its not bad since the lettuce is crunchy. I like the hearts. however its not as good as bread is. so its taking time to get used to. My scale is really pissing me off lately. i weighed myself 5 times and it came up with 5 different weights. really annoying. Hope everyone has a good weeekend.

Hear you on the shoes and socks, back in January being able to put on my socks more easily was one of my first goals.

Snacking is pretty evil and sooo easy to do. Find that I had to either stay out of the kitchen or completely remove/hide any of the worst snack foods. Finding snacks that are filling and won't blow the calorie count can be a challenge for sure. Personally, I've found that grabbing something that contains protein and or fiber helps fight off the cravings best for me. (Apple slices with natural peanut butter has been a good one or a single slice of toast with peanut butter)

I used to buy slip on shoes just because tieing shoe laces was so uncomfortable...felt like I was going to blow a gasket by bending over! Now, I can tie my laces and even touch my toes from the standing position...took some weight loss to do it, but I can do it...and you can too!

I agree with feelinggooder...I can't keep those yummy, snacking foods in the house...just better off without them...and something about a can of tuna just doesn't get it for a snack for me!. Hot green tea (without sugar) works well for me!

Sarah

arrgh on those scales. They are annoying things. You have to make sure you step on them on the same place each time, someone even suggested to me once to draw around my feet so i step onto the same place. Also it needs to be on an even surface. I don't use them on carpet. well done with cutting out the bread. The crackers thing is hard I totally get that, I cant keep things like that in my flat as once I have had one, i would have the whole packet. Things like crackers for me are addictive, I like crunchy things, and I just can't stop crunching. sometimes it is the texture of the food as much as what the food is. aLSO simple sugar things such as white crackers, white rice cakes etc can make you carve more and more of them, because of blood rises then dips. Although wholemeal things I am hopeless with too! I am finding however that a lot of my food things that I thought I couldnt give up I have been able too, because I was just eating them out of habbit, and after a while you don't miss it honestly because you body gets used to not having it and doesnt crave or want it!

AHeya Mark :)

I've been away so just catching up with everyones diaries.

I totally get you on the late night snacking. I personally have to stay away from the kitchen totally because once i have something it's like a landslide, i just can't stop.

Also totally get you on the scales too. Mine are the same but i have learnt to just deal with what they say. I might swear at them or clap my hands like an excited child but i have learnt that they can give totally different reading just getting on, off and on again. I just use my bathroom scales as a guide to keep track of how i'm doing and my official weigh in on a sunday is done on the Wii

Sending you lots of 'stay out of the kitchen' vibes mate :) and hugs too :grouphug:

hey all. my weigh in this week was 204. sorry i havent been up on everyones diary. I have alot of health issues that I dont really want to get in too but it can be really difficult sometimes for me to deal with. anyway im feeling ok today so I will try and catch up.

Feelinggooder - i have plenty of apples so i will try the peanutbutter and apple thing instead of crackers. its good advice.

Sarah - I will have to try the tea thing too. I think we may have some in house so between that and what feelinggooder said i should be able to kill the snack thing.

Tink - yea ive got it worked out now the position of my feet on the scale. hopefully your right and i will forget about the munchies or not want them after awhile.

Kate - thanks for the hugs. :grouphug:
