Silly determined me!

I'm not saying you should throw in the towel entirely, I'm saying that what you're doing- eating so little (calories, not food) is dangerous- and trying to give you strategies to correct that. I'm worried about what you're doing, even if you're not. (And don't be so sure that you can trust your body like that- it may adapt to a point but if you keep eating too little you'll be doing damage- perhaps damage you won't notice until it's too late)

if it got to the point where i wasnt managing i would see someone but i know that if i went to my doctors now theywould tell me i was fine and not too worry its just a phase and its not like im under weight xx

Seriously not trying to be a hound, but ....

I think perhaps what Amy (and myself) are worried about is the begging of bad eating habits. This forum is designed to help get people healthy not just skinny alone. That's the only reason we are emphasizing. Its so that your body gets proper nutrition. If you were under 5ft tall that would be another story. You would then consult your doctor and then they would have to recommend a plan for you.

If you want to be hungry, make sure you exercise every day. When you burn enough you will feel a bit hungry... I don't know if that is great advice either but at least you are getting your vitamins, minerals, and a reasonable source of energy.

Its ultimately your body and your decision, but it would be irresponsible of me to encourage you to do what I would never do to my own body.

i know what you are getting at but i just find this works for me at the mo, i dont wanna be super skinny or have an eating disorder coz i know all of the side affects of it. i like to go with what my body is telling me if im hungry i eat if im not then i dont if i want some choc i will have a little bit now and again im not trying to stop myself eating or anything. i am trying to get it up as i know under 1000 is seriously low for the amount i do besides gym. i will get there eventually
i know that if i feel full and eat alot one day that when it comes to the next day i will feel awful and fat and bloated the next so end up not having anything( i duno why i feel like that might be some kinda of intolerance or something)
but what i do is working for me im eating fresh fruit and some meat or protein and iron, i do include carbs and wholemeal foods i do have cheese and milk and yoghurt also for calcium =] x

If I am distracted enough I can go all day without eating because I forget that I am hungry. So hunger cues are not always something to base it on. Imo. You're body is made to be efficient. That's one of the reasons it is easy for us to get so fat. And part of that efficiency is not having a body that cues us correctly when we need to eat. Meaning, sometimes the trigger might go off at the right times.
Do you only drink water when you're thirsty?

Alas, I think I've said all that I can, but I wish you the best of luck on a healthy weight loss!

Hi Bex :),

Looks like you're pretty motivated. I see you have a bit of problems with people close to you and how they are 'sabotaging' you. I've had troubles with this myself, getting given food from my relatives because 'I'm a growing boy', well Spoiler Alert: I've stopped growing taller, if I eat that all I'll grow is wider . What I did was just be honest with them. Tell them that regardless of what they think that this is very important to you and you would really appreciate it if they would just support your decision to lose weight and get healthier.

Also I have a question about this:

"my bf told me last night that he doesnt fancy me the same as when i was 170lbs"

Just to clarify, he fancied you more at 170lbs? I don't see why. Unless he is attracted to fat and the risk of death at an earlier age I don't understand why he would say that. Does he struggle with his weight as well? Perhaps he is worried that you'll become out of his league. Regardless, weight loss is hard enough on your own, it's insane when you have people trying to drag you down. Address the issues you have with your family and boyfriend and make sure that they support you.

It seems like you have some good motivation, keep those binges to a minimal. Looks like you're doing well so far, keep it up. Good luck on reaching your goal, I know you can do it! :)
