Show abs! Show!

I'm a guy and I'm about 5' 8" and currently at 135lbs. I used to be 150, but as I started to go to the gym, I decided to shed some pounds through dieting and whatnot so that I could have more visible abs and get rid of the lower stomach fat. Well, I'm now 135lbs, which is too light for me (140~ is lowest I want), and I have seen almost no improvement in the visibility of my abs. I can feel that they're stronger because of all the gyming but I still can't hardly see them any better than when I was 150. I really don't feel like dropping down to like 120 or something so I was wondering how I could have my abs become more visible, without losing more weight, and ideally going back up to 140ish at the same time. Any exercises, routines, or suggestions are greatly appreciated!
 
You probably never ate enough calories on your diet and therefore your body used muscle has opposed to fat for energy.
