Last year just before Christmas I was 241 pounds and I was quite fat. Now I am 190 lbs on the button. Im 5'11" tall. I notice that I do have a little bit of fat left on me especially on my stomach and love handles. However, when telling other body builders I wanted to get down to 180 lbs, they said it was a horrible idea and I should focus on lifting and building muscle and the fat will come off "with time." Now when I say im not going to diet anymore I simply mean that im going to eat a decent amount of food which would be considered a normal amount. I was keeping my caloric intake @ around 1300 calories a day to lose the weight along with a lot of cardio. I was wondering if I should take their advice and simply come off of my diet a little bit (not over-eat) and do a lot of ab workouts and regular weight lifting like I am currently doing. Will this fat on my stomach and love handles come off and if so about how long will it take? The frame of my body is quite large. I have a big bone bone structure. Thanks for all your future help!
