Should i divide my weight session?

Hi
I am 36 an have a sport history.
But gained a lot of weight and this year i decided to lean up.
I attend to cycle lessons for 3 months now and lost 12 pounds.
I do weights before i cycle for 45 min. I do total body;2 exercises per part totaling 9-10 sets(15-8 reps) which is no problem for me.Except bi-triceps which i make 5-6 set max.
I do 4 days a week.
Will dividing give me an advantage thinking that my goal is to lose weight?

Is having 2 different total body programs and altering them each day a good isea?
