Hey guys! I'm Seth, a 17 year old from Eastern Iowa, and I currently weigh ~225 lbs. I've had problems with my weight growing up, but haven't considered it a priority until now. My goal is to look somewhat different by my high school graduation, two months shy of a year from now. Follow me on this journey! Also, if anyone has any advice for iPhone apps they've had success with, please let me know! I'm really going to need this community's help setting goals, so any tips you can give me would be greatly appreciated! Thank you guys for the support and help as I journey the road to health!!
 
Welcome Seth! I don't use it but I hear MyFitnessPal is a good app. Also, you may want to record what you eat here so others can provide suggestions. Good luck on your weight loss journey.
 
Hi Seth & welcome to the forum. I use My Fitness Pal but only the free version. You're young so making healthy choices & exercising more will make a big difference. Eating lean protein & lots of fresh veg & fruit, drinking more water & less fast food, especially fried food & soda will most probably do the trick. All the best, cheers Cate
 
I also use MyFitnessPal and if you want to exercise, it has a companion app called Record, both are free.

Like cate said, if soda is a problem for you, that might be a great place to start.
