Welcome! That sounds like a good food plan. Counting calories and knowing your calorie limit are both very important. And don't worry about not being able to take pills, most don't work and the ones that do don't help by much. Most people here are anti-diet pill. The only thing I have to add is don't cut out grains too much. Limiting them is fine, but get some, they are important too. Whole grains have a lot of nutrients, fiber and can be very filling.
As far as the exercise, do you have any access to a pool? Your local gym might even have a pool class. That's a great low impact way to exercise. Even if you can't swim, you can "run" around in the shallow end, do jumping jacks, etc.
If that's not an option, taking a 25 minute walk daily is still moving. Don't discount that. Your weight loss might be a bit slower then if you could burn more calories, but you can still get there.
ETA: If there is a YMCA in your area, they might have a pool class. The one in my town does and you don't have to be a YMCA member to join the class. The cost is a little lower for members, but if you aren't going to use the gym there's no reason to pay for the membership.
