Seeking help for getting rid of flab and getting lean

Greetings WorldFitness.com,

I am currently 19 years old, 5'10" and about 183 lbs. I don't consider myself "fat," but I do have a bit of flab. I was never much of an active individual but I'm looking to change that with a bit of exercise.

I was wondering what basic workout I could follow that could set me in the right track to get rid of some of this excess weight, and onto the path for building muscle eventually (not bodybuilder status, just leaning up a bit).

Lately I have been jogging everyday for thirty minutes straight as my main cardio. Is that enough, and is there anything I can add to this?

Thanks in advance for any helpful input!

It's all about what you eat, your diet is key. Search the forums for good eating routines, off hand one person who I know posts great eating routines is Spockafina. I read this a while backand thought it was a great list of each individual thing your body needs, now you just need to learn about when and how much. <~Thank Toby1986 for taking time and making this list!
