AThanks Maryanne, Cate and Jessica...you just don't know how much that helps! Jessica, after 103 pounds, believe me, I need all the help I can get to stay focused and motivated!
Yesterday, I ran in the park as planned and I did an 11k, which is one more k than last week, ans I feel good today (not too sore), so I did 50 min on the elliptical, and my stair climb from 3 to 21 then back down to 12 afterwards. I also did 3x10 reps of chest presse at 28kg, so overall a good exercise roll. Eating has been good too, was hungry last night at 8:00, so I had some tuna in spring water...satisfied me and good after cranking out the 11k! Motivation is good right now, especially after hitting 176.6...that is within 10 pounds of the max the USArmy weight for someone at my age...that means if I were still in, then when I reach 166 I would not have to be taped for a % body fat test! I enlisted in 1978, and they didn't have that then...I can't remember when the height weight requirements were installed, I think sometime in the early 1980's, but suffice to say I've always had to be taped for %body fat..so to get below 166 is my next short term (I hope) goal...that will be a big milestone for me! So of course that is motivating!
I'm continuing to stay at it...103 down, another 33 to go...almost surrealistic to type that, but, by the time, it's all said and done, and I reach my goal of 143, I will have lost 136 pounds...if I can do it...anyone can...no matter what age or gender..it's all possible! I am becoming a fitter thinner person...that is one of my mantras when I run now...feeling great!
So, good choices to everyone!
Sarah
