Before I start I just want to say that I love this site and I feel that this may provide the extra support I need to get me through.
I have always had a problem with my weight, constantly been on diets, lost weight and then just piled it back on again. I am really sick of the way I feel about myself, my own body, I need to change! I have been successful in all the other aspects of my life and feel that my weight and body image are the things making me feel unhappy. Not only do I want to lose the weight for me, I want to lose the weight for my husband-to-be. I have gained a 28lbs since I first met him 5 years ago and would love to get back down to my original weight before we get married. He says he loves me just the way I am but I am sure that it would make him happier if I were slimer.
I currently weight 166lbs (although this may be a little inaccurate as I weight myself after eating dinner) and I want to get down to 130lbs. My plan was to achieve this before my 25th birthday. Unfortunately this doesn't really give me enough time (10 weeks) to lose the weight healthy but I guess even getting half way there by my birthday would be a great achievement. At the end of it all, if I achieve my goal, I would like to treat myself to a shopping spree where I don't feel ashamed and embarrased when I try on clothes. For the first time in a long while I would like to put something on and actually feel good about myself rather than hide behind baggy clothes and big coats.
I am chosing my own plan to follow for weight loss which includes the following things:
1) Sticking to a 1200 calorie a day diet
2) Drinking plenty of water
3) Exercise 3 times a week (one hour each time)
4) Weight myself once a week (on a sunday)
5) No more crisps, chocolate, take-out or fizzy drinks
I intend to update my diary every day with how successful the day has been and then document my weight at the end of each week.
I am hoping this time I can lose the weight and keep it off and am very much more motivated to do this for myself.
