Rock Band for Weight Loss

Hello everyone! I am still hovering at about 168- but even though the scale isn't budging, my clothes are! I am feeling good about this weight loss!! :sifone: I got my first clothes compliment today! A lady at work said "wow you look great in yellow! Why didn't you wear that before??" The reason is, of course, that it did not fit before- at least not well. It's very encouraging when people tell you that you look nice!!

The reason that I called this entry "Rock Band" is that I have been playing a ton of Rock Band 2 with my sweetheart. We have beaten the game numerous times, but have decided to try and get one billion fans. We have been playing for a year and are at about 530,000,000 currently. This may seem irrelevant- but let me tell you something: Rock Band 2 is the reason I am losing weight! Not only does it give me something to focus on besides all of the junk food in our cabinets, but it also stimulates my brain and encourages me to dance around. I've finally finished the singing career and guitar and bass careers, and have now moved on to drumming. WOW! I always knew that drumming would require a lot of stamina- but I'd never experienced it first hand (even if it is a plastic drumset, it is still intense!) I have cut my calories back to about 1500+ depending on how I'm feeling. Cutting 500 calories out has helped me lost about 1-2 pounds a week and I hear that's the way to keep it off! I'm happy about this- even though it will be a slow process, it will be a permanent one! I noticed that my calves are getting more muscular after only a month of drumming! I can fit into some of my size 10 jeans now- and I'm so happy about that!!! :auto:

I swear I will post some updated "befores" that will show my body more clearly so that we can all see the differences.

Good luck to everyone on their journeys!

I always played the guitar standing and moving with the music. It might not be alot but it's something :)
