Thanks everyone, you made me feel a lot better!
First of all, Pirates was bloody awesome!!!!! Sara, ya know it
Hehehehe! I can't wait to own that movie for sure! The only bad thing was the theater was absolutely freezing and I didn't bring a sweater, lol.
About the whole nursing thing, I know I'm young and have plenty of time to do it. When I was in it years ago there were people there in their 40's and
50's, so I know I have the time. I'm just impatient is all! I want to start learning so bad and getting it going! But, that's not possible. There is a benefit to it, like you said Adam, and it's that I'll be able to save up money. Which is a good thing because school is bloody expensive. So now I have to stop buying DVD's and eating out because that's where most of my money goes! After I get my bike it'll also help to save up money.
About my previous experience in the nursing program, I do have 1 year completed. I quit almost mid-way through the 2nd year. So I guess I could fight to start there but there's a couple issue:
One, the school went through a change. It used to be a university college and when I was in the course it was going through the process of being merged with UBC (a diff university in a diff city). There were 2 campuses and now they've kind split. One is now just a college and one is now a university, instead of a university college. Since the university isn't the same one, they might not acknowledge what I've done because the program itself is changed as well.
Two, even if they did acknowledge it I don't know if I would want that. It's been years since I've been taking the course and it's easy to forget things you don't use. I don't want to be thrown into 2nd year and not have a fresh knowledge of the basics. So I think my best change of succeeding would be to do the whole thing. It's only one extra year, and I want to ensure my success, so I think that's the best option.
I might apply for other schools maybe, just in case I don't get in at this one, but I really don't know if I want to move since I have a great job now and hopefully would be able to keep it part time when going to school. Don't know if that's possible though because the school load is incredible and my job is only during the day and no weekends. So I don't know if they could even keep me. Ah well, when the time comes I'll figure that out.
I'll just see how the meeting goes and hear what she has to say. I just hope I don't have to retake english, I hated it and got it done and overwith, so I really don't want to do that again!
