Rice diet in FFW

Hi, Onlyonetruelove,

I am just getting started myself--the diet is in the June 5 First For Women magazine which should be on the newstands until about that date. It gives plenty of information to get you startedl
I also found the book at overstock.com, it was around $15 and shipping is only $1.40.
I'm still poking around on the internet for additional information, menus, etc. until my book arrives.

to debeades,
I would suggest if you are going to try this diet to use whole grains, look for 100% whole grain breads, cereals. Puffed rice and wheat would be less desirable choices for you. Look on google for "glycemic index" and you will find loads of information you can use to choose your fruits and grains wisely. Also there are lots of other tricks, for example, use old fashioned oatmeal or steel cut oats instead of instant. You are looking for carbs that release slowly in the bloodstream, a good rule of thumb is avoid white stuff--white bread, pasta, potatoes, etc.
This is good for anyone trying this diet as those slow carbs stick with you longer and you won't find yourself hungry 2hrs after you eat!

nb, why did u have to remove it?

Im not being exact with the diet so far, but its not going horribly, im eating the right foods, just at the wrong times and on the wrong days...ill try to fix it up ASAP.
Have fun everyone :)

I'm thinking it has to do with not promoting anybody not associated with this website. I wondered about that when I wrote it but the link came up by itself. Anyway, in the sense of fairness, there are other online book sources who offer it, but some of them have to special order.:)

Ok People This Diet Does Work But I Failed I Just Cant Get Past Day 4 On It At All! I Crave My Grilled Chicken And Protien! So I Have To Go Back To What Does Work For Me! This DOES work....yesterday I didnt do very well at work and STILL lost 2.6 pounds! Today I will try harder but there is a vending machine that sits across from my desk and it calls me. I do better at home on my days off because I have all the right food there. I will try very hard today. Good luck to everyone!

I'm going out of town for a little over a week and will have to just eat sensibly while I am gone (lots of eating out and stuff) so I will have to pick this back up when I get home (next Sunday/Monday)

Good luck to everyone!!!!

Oh Wow Karrie I Would Settle For The 7 Pounds So Maybe If You Dont Care You Could Get Her To GIve You And Idea Of How She Is Doing It So I Can Do It Her Way! That Is My Only Problem I Dont Crave Bad Junk Food Just Crave Chicken And Fish And Tuna!!

hey there ladies!

I was reading up on all of this stuff since everyone is so excited about it... I think that based on what karrie said you could do the "stabilizing day" more often and still be fine...

so do the start up day, have a regular day, then a stabalize, and alternate for the rest of the week... then on day one, start over again... that way you get more of your protein, but still stick with the diet fairly well. As long as you are eating lean meats (like chicken and fish) you should be fine =)

I have a suggestion for breakfasts... my new favorite is to take some fatfree yogurt, add some berries, and top with some kashi (multi-grain fibery goodness)... it might be a good thing to alternate with whatever you are doing... in whatever portions are required.
