hi all-
I am posting because well I have a few questions and I was hoping that you guys could help me out. I am currently doing this home work out that is cardio and free weights.

Love handles... what is your best option to get rid of them quicker? I have gone down in the waist.. maybe i am just inpatient lol who knows.. anyway, thoughts? opinions?

Triceps... mine still wiggle lol what are your opinions for the best work out for them... lol

Calves... now I had surgery for bi-lateral compartment syndrome and well.. they are bigger then they used to be.. is there a way to make them smaller? lol

Those are my big areas that need help.. lol like any other woman, butt is next in line and thighs... but anyway...

Thanks for any help
Kris

for the love handles in basically all about dieting properly with proper foods, a proper training regiment, and cutting to lose that fat.

for the triceps you can build some muscle up first, but you will also have to cut the fat. Stick with compound lifts and you should be fine.

for the calves....give them to me hehe

post your training routine

and your diet and we can help you more.

to lose the fat surrounding these areas you have to be in a deficit diet (burning more than you are consuming)

sorry for the quick and basic response but im going to bed hehe

Be patient and follow the basic rules and you can't fail. Eat less than your caloric need and you will see the results you want.

All the areas will decrease in time (including breasts unfortunately).

Oh I have cut everything down, make sure I eat salad and veggies.. drink about a gallon of water a day and fruit.

I have gone from a size 14 to a 10 (I am in between the line of 10 and 8 - meaning I cn get into a 8 but i can't button them yet) my waist has dropped a few inches as well as my arms.. Like I said I am a little impatient in the results area. I did this same work out after I had my 2 kids and I went from a 26 to a 5.

I already know I build muscle.. I always do and quick.. which I hate. No I dont mind having muscle, I just wish it wasnt so MUCH.

I work out 5x a week, on the weekends I usually hike at a min of 2miles.. last weekend I did 5miles. I am a photographer, so that means I am lugging my gear around with me on these hikes as well. So i am active at least 6days a week.

My diet:
Breakfast: 3/4 cup of bran flakes with skim milk and half of banana

Snack: yougart or fruit

Lunch: Salad, and half of turkey sandwich

Snack: fruit

dinner: veggie burger salad and veggies (steamed of course). now the dinner part can vary...but i always watch what I eat here because dinner is my bad meal most of the time.

I would LOVE to give you my calves.. not sure if you want them now though, I have scars from the surgery and some nerve damage lol but I am still here and I still have my feet!

Thanks for your help :)

i have been diagnosed with compartment syndrome in my calves, but when i went to see a surgeon,he said that in time if i keep running (not to hard) that it will get back to normal, now i thought that you had to have surgery.

I was so bad.. I couldnt walk, sit, lay down without my legs cutting off circulation and the pain.. well it was worse then child birth. They did every kind of test, but I havent had any trouble since the surgery. My flight surgeon had a look at my records and he said if I had waited longer I could have lost my feet. Surgery was a plus.. glad I had it :)All my docs said it wouldnt go away unless I had the surgery...so I am curious why yours said it would.

i dont know i have (apparently)chronic compartment syndrome, what was yours.
i seen a lower body specialist at first who diagnosed it by feeling it and asking questions etc, they didnt insert cafetas etc.

the surgeon said that as i used to run alot then stopped because i broke my leg a few years ago, that was the reason i got it,and that if i eased back into it it would be ok:confused:.

mine always goes if i run outside after about 15mins,it feels like someone is digging a pencil into my calf, its to painfull to carry on after that and takes about 2wks to get back to normal.

My orthopedics (both of them, yes I have 2) said it was bi-lateral compartment syndrome...thats all. They did this test where I had to run for 20min and then do steps for 5 min.. then they stick this needle in my calf to see the pressure of them.. I was over 110 for the pressure.. off the charts or so he said.. thats when he said surgery was needed for sure. The next day I was taken off the chair (I was a life guard) by the ambulance crew and taken to the er. They originally thought it was shin spints, I had MRI's and bone scans done.. they are all fine and clear...weird huh?

I used to run for the military... i hate running.. totally a swimmer, so running was very hard for me. So when I started to have pain other then my knees I knew something was wrong. its funny how different doctors in different places diagnose something.. you know what I mean? I went through so many scans, core therapy, big needles.. and they just felt yours.

yeah thats what i meant by cafetors (needles) they never did any of that with me,just asked me to discribe the pain and how long after running it occured.
i was being treated for shortened muscles just below my calf at first:rolleyes: untill one of the poditrist read something on compartment syndrome and refered me to a lower limb specialist, i still use the inserts in my shoes that the podiatrist made for me i find they help.
can you run ok now,and how long into your run (mins etc) did you get before it flaired up.

You are so lucky that you didnt have that test.. let me tell you.. it HURT like you wouldn't believe!

I don't run lol sad I know... my knees are shot from basic training anyway...my next step for them is surgery and I want to hold off on it as long as I can. I do walk though and I have no problems what so ever... I am up to at least 6 miles now when we do hike and such.

But before the surgery when I was running, it would be maybe half a mile before pain started to shoot through my legs. It wasn't long and I would always have to be carried off the track and put into a car... it was awful.

i can bet it did hurt, but at least they found out what was wrong and which compartment needed sorting, just had knee surgery myself, cartalige cleaned out it only takes a couple of hours your out in the same day, good luck.
