Rebel's Diary

I didn't cook today but I managed to drag into the kitchen and cut up some veggies. I'm thinking of making a chickpea and mushroom curry tomorrow. Maybe even some brown rice. Has it really been 8 months since I've had rice??(sushi doesn't count).....wow, that used to be a daily thing.

That conversation with the dad would have fucked me off massively. Sorry, it's been a few months! Who does he think he is?! Know he's probably looking out for her but she's a grown ass woman - how awkward and bizarre. Well done for dealing with it so well - I would have told him exactly what I thought about his random ass phone call about a relationship that is nothing to do with him. Twat. *rant over, big hug*

Hope you make that curry. You know how much I like that good good. Spesh with chickpeas!

As a father I can kind of understand. Most of it was his accent. My grand father was the same way. It's just something about the tone in the voice. As far as his dislike of Germans I can understand why he might have feelings like that. I turned my phone off for now and I'll deal with it all in a few days.

The curry will be lunch or dinner not sure yet.

That is a lot of stuff to cover in one phone call! Even one of those topics would have been enough for a first conversation. As others have said, you have taken it well. Hope you get some rest!

~*5 million gold stars & 6 million happy dances*~ Well done Rebel!!!!!!!~ :D

Long day......

First thing is the coffee maker went out. Boiled coffee to the rescue. Should start blinking any time now......

Most of the day I was helping a friend. Well, a friend of a friend anyhow. He had a bunch of radio towers on his property he needed cut down and hauled off. Cut down 7 50' towers and 13 trips to the scrap yard. Exercise complete and then some.
Went out to dinner after. Well, breakfast/lunch/dinner all in one meal. Steamed lobster and crab legs with a baked potato. Drinks... 3 glasses of Guinness, 4 martinis, 4 shots of bourbon.
Now I'm at the airport; omg hate airports. Gael booked us a flight to Cancun mexico for the weekend. So a spur of the moment runaway trip.
I'll try and keep the food goodish for the next few days.

I'm a little late but that phone call :( hope your feeling better. And I'm so impressed that you shared those things over the phone, in that stressful situation. Oh my, I can't even think about how I would have reacted. Phone flying one way and me running the other.
Anyway, have a nice trip!

Yea, it made for an interesting day.

Got back from my trip about 2am and then went and bought groceries. I really love those 24 hour markets.
I haven't been to bed yet so by 5-6 tonight I'll be more than ready.
I had a good time on the trip. Shopping, swimming and way too much walking. I've got a knot in my lower back that wont quit throbbing. I'll give it a day or so then I'll have to get to the doctor for some muscle relaxers.
I think I did ok on food while I was gone. I didn't have my food scale and someone else was doing the cooking so its all guess work.
