really need an answer regarding dieting

hi
i am 19 years old, 6' tall , 185 lbs. My BMR is estimated 2040.
how many calories would i burn in a day where its mostly sitting, some walking around ... some running up the stairs ect?

because i need to know how much of a deficit i am making for myself ... i have been eatin around 2100 calories a day.
but i dont know if this is too little or not, because i know that just from sitting around and standing ect i burn around 800- 900 calories on top of my BMR. So am i really burning about 2900-3000 calories a day from just sleeping, sitting, standing, lying ect (everyday activities) ?
because i dont really want to leave a 1000 calorie deficit because i am trying to retain muscle .. and i am aiming for about 500-600 calorie deficit so i can keep as much muscle as possible.

i just want to know how many calories i should consume on a normal day where i just sleep, sit, stand, run up stairs a few times ect so i can make a reasonable deficit.
i dont want to be eating 2100 calories without knowing my muscles are burning up.

just how many calories would a guy like me burn in a typical day all together (normal activity and BMR together)...
(i know everyones metabolism is different, but just base it on average)
thanks
hope someone can help (or even get what im saying)

The only way you can find out for sure is trial and error. Track the total number calories you eat for a week and see if you lost any weight at the end of the week. If you lost a pound, then keep the same average number of calories a day. If you lost more then a pound, increase your daily caloric intake by 200-500, if you didnt lost any weight or gained weight decrease it by 200-500.
