Ready to start..help

Here is my story, and I in my mid 20's and I am back at my heavist weight. I am at a whopping 250lbs, and want to get back in control. In high school I was athletic and averaged about 130-140lbs. Went into the military and jumped to about 170-180. Then the cycle continued. Past the sad story, I want to start loosing weight, and get back in shape. I have two kids and a lot of medical issue that run in my family so I have to make a change.
 
Welcome to the forum. There is tons of good advice just floating around the threads as well as lots of people you could ask for help. I just made a realization myself that overall my goal is to lose 90lbs :eek: (i'd never actually noticed) but i'm not feeling discouraged. This is a great place to be. I'm sure you will do great.

I'm pretty new here myself. Let me tell you you've come to the right spot.
The amount of help and encouragement I have gotten so far is great. I actually feel hopeful about losing weight. It's not I'm gonna try and lose weight. This time it is I'm gonna lose weight.

I hope you get the same experience. I'm in my mid 20's also and my top weight was 250 so I know how you feel.
