Diet-
1. Which is better to cook in. Canola oil or extra virgin olive oil?

I'm not a chef, but I believe that extra virgin olive oil has a lower smoke point than canola oil, so olive oil is OK at lower temperatures and canola oil is OK to use for slightly higher temperatures. Both are good oils because they are low in saturated fats compared to other oils. This does not mean that you should use more of these oils, you still need to use them only sparingly.

2. i kno its best to eat breakfast everymorning...so what is some good breakfast ideas?...ive never been a breakfast eater...

basically, you want a mixture of protein, carbs, and fats.... and water!

A piece of fruit and some cottage cheese
High fiber bread and natural peanut or almond butter
Plain oatmeal with berries and some natural peanut butter
Egg white omelette with veggies
natural or greek yogurt and fruit

the list goes on and on!

3. "cheat days" good or bad?

This depends entirely on you. There are arguments for both the psychological and the possible metabolic benefits of cheat meals or days. If you have cheat meals or days and you don't lose weight, then don't do it. If you have a cheat meal or cheat day and it turns into a cheat week, don't do it... Simple as that.

4. Sweetners such as Equal or sweet n low? are they good or should they be avoided?

Avoid them. There is too much unknown about them in terms of possible health risks, so why take the risk?

Exercise-
1. Any good websites to find a plan?

Yes, there are lots... Do some research and find something that you are interested in. :)

2. Should i focus on full body everytime i exercise or should i focus on say abs one day then legs the next?

For most people, a full body program 3 times per week is sufficient for maintaining and even regaining some lost muscle mass. A split is not necessary and not useful unless you have body-building-type goals or want to weight train more than 3 days per week.

3.How long shold my workouts last? 1hr? 2hrs? or should they very?
For most people, 30-45 mins of weight training should be more than enough. As for cardio, it depends on your goals, but you should be active almost every day! Higher intensity cardio such as HIIT should be no more than 20-30 mins (including a 5 min warm up and 5 min cool down). Low to moderate intensity can be anywhere from 20-90 mins at a time or more. The lower the intensity, the longer the exercise bout should last!

Only take this if recommended by your physician, naturopath, or dietician (NOT your personal trainer or someone working at the gym!). Too many people take supplements that are not necessary, you only need them if you have a deficiency.

I have bought Quick trim Fast-Shake weight loss protein shake mix... i havnt tried this yet

This is a quote from a site selling this product: "QuickTrim Fast-Shake is designed to provide essential nutrition that may be lacking while dieting"

You should never be lacking anything due to a diet. Your overall nutrition should be well-balanced and not require you to take supplements. That being said, to use this in a shake along with fruit and some low-fat yogurt would be OK sometimes, but I never agree with using a shake or supplements as a meal replacement, unless you are on the verge of death or serious disease and need to drop weight extremely quickly.

Just want some opinion on these two things.... i had green tea pills but they made me sick so they've been flushed :)

If something makes you sick, you should at least try to return it to get your money back! :)

I hope this helps! Good luck and keep us posted on your progress!

Thanks for the information... i should have mentioned that the Super B Complex was recrommended by a doctor... Not for weightloss but becaue i have very low energy levels and i was working alot and trying to go to school and needed the extra umph.... I am not planning on using the shake as a meal replacement... mostly cus i would rather eat my calories the drink them.... nor do i understand the point of replacing a meal... i think i would feel hungrier afterwards...
Ill take a look at the links!
Thanks Again...

Very short answer here, but I'll second the recommendation for plain oatmeal with berries (I don't have the peanut butter, may be better if I did but it's an item I don't trust myself to have self-control with)- it's very filling and it's delicious (get the berries fresh or frozen, not canned, because canned will probably be in sugary syrup that adds to the calories).

Another Question (i said i had alot)
On WW u had to get ur points in NO MATTER WHAT!
On days i have class i have trouble eating 4-5 small meal so if i eat a low cal breakfast and a low cal lunch... when it comes to dinner i may have 800-900 calories left out to eat of my daily allowence. My problem is i love 0 cal foods... if for some reason i dont eat my total allowence should i eat a little sweet or something to get my calories in so it dont shock my body?

Dont kno if i made since here or if this will ever happen but i figured i would ask
Keep in mind i have class form 10am-12pm, 3-5pm, then 5-820pm... so i can only eat a meal between 12-3 which i usually workout then go grab subway or a salad... after that my only options are the dreaded vending machines.... (the reason i grab fast food is i live a hour away from school so i cant really run home and fix a good lunch)

Is it possible to pack small snacks or meals in your bag? Is there a microwave you could access to heat things up in? If not, how about rice cakes (rice crackers? may be called different things there- a round slice of rice which is very low calorie) with some sort of spread on them in a plastic container, fruit, that sort of thing? Is it absolutely verboten to nibble something quietly (which isn't messy or smelly) in class? Just some things to think about.

I don't know specifically about Weight Watchers, but my feeling is you should get your requirements in (things like 5 fruit or vegetables a day), and keep within a certain calorie allowance (500-1000 under your maintenace- that way you lose weight but you're not going to risk harming yourself or being malnourished).

yeah i never thought of packing something...(duh) thanks! Quacker makes rice snacks thats already flavored...dont kno about their calories tho ill have to look into it.

Fair enough... Just wanted to make sure that you have the supplements for the right reasons :)

Very good point about only having fresh or frozen fruit!

Try to keep the calories of your meals as even as possible to avoid having a large dinner. If subway or fast food is a must, do your research to find the healthiest options... ask for any dressings on the side so you can control how much you put on, stick with the lean meats (turkey, fish, chicken), avoid anything fried or deep fried, and don't be fooled by the salads... some have more calories or are less healthy than you would expect.

Packing your own food is usually the best option, provided you're packing healthy foods... I always took extra food when I was at school because home was too far away and the cafeteria left much to be desired in terms of good food options!
