Rainy Forest's Diary of A Life with Pie and Hiking!!!!

I'm guessing a lot of that gain is sodium-based (water retention). Have a lot of salad this week, that'll pull out the water, and (sorry to be graphic) push your Thanksgiving meals out of the system. Also, doing a lot of cardio will get a good sweat going, as well as burn some genuine calories. Good luck!

thanks again little john for your support. Yes i hope it's some water retention... I do know when it goes on overnight if I'm careful I can lose it back quick too.

So Sunday's eating plan didn't work for me :-( trying to go off the high calories and sugars that quick I failed. I didn't feel good, had a sore throat... felt no energy, and wanted to cry. I gave up. Decided to just eat hoping I would feel better. Didn't eat a bunch of sugar though so at least I got down the sugar levels.

Monday: about 1650... and at the end of the day I had some peppermints. For me pretty good because at least I'm off the cake and pie... and actually Saturday night it was chocolate chips because that was all I had left in the house of junk food.

So yeah it takes me a few days to get off the junk once I've been eating it. Thank you Thanksgiving! I hope to someday quit using holidays as a food pig out fest! I'll try this Christmas. No junk. pistachios in the kids stockings.... otherwise I eat as I stuff them. Screw the pie! I'm sick of pie addiction! Oh and the bag of chocolate chips, sometimes I think I'll be nice to the kids and have something for them in the house they could make cookies with me and they could have a treat, nope I always get into them. Then I feed some to the kids because I know otherwise they get nothing because after I open them I have to throw the rest away or I will keep going back to bag until it's gone. I threw them out the door in handfuls on the ground to stop myself from eating more. I'm not even safe with the garbage... once I put frosting container in the trash but it had lid on so later I still took a bite! ok just admitting how powerful my sugar addiction it!

mmm breakfast 225 calories... filled me up! shrimp, red cabbage, celery, green onions... extra treat cooked in 1 tsp. olive oil intead of usual pan spray

Yea I've got into bin food before. Usually if I throw something out to stop myself eating it I tip it into the bin on top of things out of a container so it's ruined and I can't get back into it haha.

Colourful breakfast, I love purple food!

Shrimp for breakfast... Wish I'd thought of that. That looks really good! I picked up some shrimp this week, and I'm growing some sprouts, so hopefully I'll have enough sprouts to make some spring rolls this weekend!

Lovely breakfast colors all around. I find a nice healthy meal like that is a great way to get back to eating and feeling much gooder ...

And good luck with breaking the sugar cycle, I think I'm going to start following luzdafuzz's advice about dumping vs tossing things in a container

During my week off my daughter enjoyed birthday parties with both sets of grandparents and I'm still twitchy from the icing...

AHey Rainy! Lovely breakfast, and nutritious and filling too! I've started eating a lot of veggies for breakfast here in China and really like it.
You might consider that..takes a little more prep time, but you can cook those ahead. Also get some nice fruits as a good substitute for those sweets. It's all about choices my dear!
Sarah

Luzdafuzz- Thanks Glad I'm not the only one! lol

Little John- spring rolls sound good so do sprouts mmmmm

feelinggooder- I am feeling so much gooder since I'm getting back off the sugar! Today I decorated a cake for a neice and then left my kids and took off so I could avoid the pizza and cake altogether. Feel pretty good hanging out here on the computer rather than at junk food party!

Sarah- Thanks for your support... yep I gotta remember fruit it is a great treat and replaces garbage sugar. And the shrimp with cabbage only took a minute to make woulda took longer to fry potatoes or bacon...

Man that is one healthy looking breakfast. Beats the artery cloggers I usually eat.

Keep up the good work!
