no junk food, lots of protein, less carbs, lift a lot, do cardio a lot too so you lose the fat.

sry i know this isnt a breakfast-nighttime thing but yeah.

And you should forget the sad face, it takes time and soon you'll lose the weight and get strong if you're determined.

You are too young to use equipment like the bench press. You should be doing body weight exercises and eating a healthy balanced diet. THATS IT.

how old are you? <12? if you are 13 (from robert13) i would say you're about ready to start doing weights. until you're 16 keep the weight at a level where you can do 12+ reps though and make sure your form is excellent.

I disagree Bred2k4, research shows that some body types may start weight training at a younger age, however it is recommended that youngsters stay with body weight exercises until age 15. This gives their bones and tendons more time to mature. I do agree that a young person could safely start younger with supervision, but read some other posts this kid writes. You can safely assume that he does NOT know what he is doing and IS unsupervised. In my opinion he will see better results from a good aerobic and calisthenics program in addition to it being safer for him. I don't feel comfortable giving weight programs to this guy is all.

I would stand by my comments in the context of serious junior athletes but you're probably right in these circumstances.

robert, if you do choose to lift weights, make sure you are supervised by someone who knows what he is doing. find a sibling, a parent, a coach, an older more experienced friend etc. if you lift at your age (guessing around 13), the name of the game is form and safety. right now, you arent trying to build mass and strength, youre just learning the fundamentals.

stay safe and find a buddy who knows what hes doing.

Scratch that... Get a coach or a trainer. Almost everyone else is clueless as to proper form. Your 'buddy' won't do you much good except to help pick you up off the floor.
