Question on Toning my body??

I have been working out for three months 5 days a week doing 45-60 minutes of cardio, 20 minutes of abs, and 15 minutes of arms each day. I have lost 20 lbs, however I am not seeing a change in the width of my body, (ie:stomach, hips, thighs, and buttox). I was wondering if there are an excersizes I should be doing to decrease the width of these areas, if my workout is all right.

If you truly do that much cardio, it will take care of that on it's own in time. Just look at your regiment and make sure that if you want to decrease you hip size, you aren't doing any hip bulking exercises. Think of it this way though....if you want to remain athletic it's best to let your body decide where it has it's stabilizing muscles. I found that once I started training intensely that my waist size went up 2 inches in about a year, but I am a MUCH better athlete now. That's not to say that it will keep increasing, it's been stable for about a year and a half.

Too much cardio.

It doesn't look as if your'e trying to bulk out by concentrating that mush on cardio. I find what works best is commiting one whole session to shoulders and arms (strength, power and endurance), and then another for leg and cardio. You should find it will even out; you will be slim and very fit and yet be quite bulky. caleb :)

First of all, stay consistant. 3 months is NOT a long time in the quest for a fit physique. Don't get frustrated.

In my experience, body composition is most drastically effected by diet. I don't mean go on a fad diet. I'm talking about intelligently planned meals. Change your eating habits for life not for quick weight loss.

Here is a great website for nutritional info.
