Question About "The New Rules"/Periodization

Hi there, I recently started doing the workouts in The New Rules of Lifting. I finished up the break in workouts, so Sunday and Monday I started Hypertrophy 1. I have a question, and a followup question:

Each section has between 2 and 4 workouts, should I limit my workout to only that number per week? For example, Hypertrophy 1 had workout A and workout B, I did those Sunday and Monday, respectively. Can I now to them over today and tomorrow, or should I be done for the week now and go back next week?

Followup: If I can in fact go back this week, should I re-do workout 1, or go on to workout 2? If I go on to workout 2, I will be done with Hypertrophy much quicker than if I do each workout weekly.

Thanks everyone!

In Hypertrophy 1 you have an upper-body day and a lower-body day. You should be alternating that 3-4 times per week depending on whatever "plan" you're following in the book. For the plan I'm on it said to do it 3x per week so I did A on Monday, B on Wednesday, A on Friday. And then the next week I started with B.

Alternate workouts A and B to a maximum of 4 workouts per week, never working out more than two days in a row.

So yes, you can do A and B again this week.

Thanks for the info. Should I continue on to workout 2, or stick with workout 1 for the whole week (this is within workouts A and B)? He needs some better naming conventions! This gets very confusing when trying to explain it to people. Thanks!

Before each section (Strength, Hyp, Fat Loss) it tells you how to run the workouts. But in short, do workout A, then B, then C, then D, or non repeating.

You only have A and B so you do A,B, off, A,B, off....
