purify your body

It is often said that you should insert special days to purify your body. For example you should eat nothing but pineapple for two days. Or another example is to eat nothing but rice (no salt with it) or white cabbage for some days. Has anyone ever made experiences with these kind of days? Do they really have a positive effect on your weight loss?

Who's been saying this?

If you get enough water and fiber in your diet, your body is pretty much self cleaning and doesn't require any purifying tactics...

thoug i'm considering an all vodka day pretty soon, with maybe some olives so i get a littlle bit of solid food...

I put salt on rice sometimes. *blush* But then, I put salt on a LOT of stuff. I'm trying to cut back, but it's my biggest downfall. Take away all that ice cream and sugar and junk, just leave me some salt!

...oh God...

Huh? I'm quite confused as to why you made a statement consisting of two words that seemingly have nothing to do with anything in this thread...

Please enlighten me, as I tend to be the curious type.

Don't take this the wrong way. I don't mean anything negative. Just curious as to what your going "oh god" for...

maybe he/she was multi tasking and we caught them inflagrante..... :) oh god - oh god ...ooooh.. :)

:Must watch WHen harry met sally :D

seasoning salt is a bit different than straight up salt. I use things that contain salt (soy sauce for example) with rice but never straight salt. gross.

I don't like rice, so I don't think i've ever cooked it.. but salt is added to pasta water when for flavor wen it's cooking isn't a bit of salt added to rice when it cooks?

There is nothing wrong with putting salt on rice. It's usually not needed as chicken bullion is salty enough. But either way, salt on rice is normal.
