Psycho's Progress Diary

Every diary needs a start, and I have not TECHNICALLY started my diet and exercise yet, but I have worked with my friend on the exercise part, and am working out the diet part myself. The diet part I will be beginning tomorrow, and the exercise begins Monday. So there is no progress with actual weight loss, but the plans have been worked out! So yay!

There is not much progress just yet, but I went to the grocery store today and bought some low and no fat items for half of my dinners, and I will cut down on how much I eat of the other dinners. Also got an exercise plan worked out with my friend imjustme. I think I can actually do it this time! I have never been EXCITED about starting a diet and exercising because the road always seems way too long, but I am confident AND excited this time. I know I can do this.

Note to self: Be MUCH more careful when counting calories. I made a miscalculation today as far as calorie intake goes, so I have to be very careful from now on not to make the same mistake.

Hey, i just wanted to say good luck with ur journey!
The one thing ive noticed about calorie counting is that once you get started it gets addictive, which is a gr8 thing :D
Heres a tip though: keep a small notepad with u at all times, or if u have a smartphone or ipod/phone download a free calorie counter app..that way u can track ur food when u eat it, or just have it planned out b4 u eat!
It really helps me to always be able to log my calories in my ipod wherever i am.. it counts all da cals for me ha!plus it tell u hw many cals u should eat :)
Hope your weight loss goes great for ya... Will be checkin up on ur progress :)
Good luck!!!!!

Thank you! I will have to get a small notebook to keep with me at all times. That is a really good idea! Thank you!

Hiyaaa
You're going good :) keep it up, we are after all heading for the same results and hoping for the same outcome so i am glad to see another person on board :) it makes me feel less alone in this.

About the calorie thing i downloaded this amazing app on my iphone and its available online too its called my fitness pal, and like someone said about, counting cals becomes so addictive, i started adding up the smallest things now and I always know where I am at calorie wise during the day, its amazing and it really helps me by guiding me and it shows u ur nutrition for the day, so it tells me im supposed to have 50g of fat today or something and if i went under by 10, it will show me where i went over or under in all the nutrition, so then i know, ok stop eating sugar i went over my limit..eat more potassium filled foods, etc etc.

Keep your head up, remeber why your doing this, the road wont be easy but nothing in life worth having comes easy :) and if u need a talk buddy, here i am :)

good luck again

I did okay with calorie counting. I managed to get under the calorie amount that my Basal Metabolic Rate says that I burn, AND I worked today and I am not sure exactly how many calories I burn at work, but since I got under the calorie amount for the Basal Metabolic Rate, I feel like I really came out on top today! Figuring in what I know I am going to eat tommorow, I think I will have done even better. Also, yesterday I fended off the donut monster craving! so Woot! I am proud of myself.

Good for you! You can do this!!:seeya:

I actually am not sure yet if I have had progress, though I am dieting and exercising, and I bought very low calorie snacks to eat so my calorie count will be lower starting tomorrow. Found out that the scale I was on and found my weight out on before was wrong, so I am sort of restarting the weight loss count down.

This is the longest I have ever gone as far as dieting goes. I need to exercise more, but I did at least exercise 3 times this week. One of the days I do not think I got enough exercise but I am determined. It has only been a week and I have found that it already is really hard to keep going, but I will do it!

You're doing great. 3 times a week is perfect if you are just starting out exercising, you need to rest and recuperate so you can work hard when you do work out. Welcome to the forum. Keep posting and you will find support and information to pave the way for your weight loss success. You can do it with a little bit of effort and planning.
