After training I'd go with a fast absorbing carb. Dunno about bananas since they have quite a bit of fructoses (but it's better than nothing of course). Dextroses would probably be my choice. I believe a lot of people recommend a mix of dextroses and maltodextrin.
I was told to drink semi skimmed milk as it is better for muscle building than other milks. Also I think your meant to eat/drink protein 20 mins after the work out![]()
