Protein Powder in a smoothie?

Firstly i would like to say hi as this is my first post!

I have recently started doing some weight training three days a week to get my body into shape. I have started to take protein shakes but really do not like the taste of them!

Is it possible for me to mix the same amount of protein powder into a fruit smoothie in the mornings instead?

Will this have any effect on the protein, make it not as good etc?

Any help or advice will be much appreiciated.
 
Cheers! Just had a Kiwi Magic with my extra protein! ;)

3/4 cup of frozen strawberries
1 kiwi
1 bananna
3 tablespoons of low fat yoghurt
150ml of orange juice
1 scoop of whey protein!

You should try it!

NB: Without the protein it has 493 KCal, 6g protein, 123g carbs, 2g fat.
