I am eating this right now, this is sooo good!!!

Protein Pancakes (296cal for the whole batch ) w/o add ons
Ingredients

1/2 Cup Oats (150) (I use McCann's Irish oatmeal)
1/2 Cup fat free Cottage Cheese (80)
1/2 c. Liguid Egg Whites (60)
Splenda (to taste)
Cinnamon (to taste) (6)

Optional Add In's (these will change the nutritional value)
1/4 Cup of Libby's Canned Pumpkin,
1 small banana ,
1/4 Cup of Fresh Blueberries
Directions
Combine all ingredients in a food processor or blender. This will become a "batter". You may have to add more oats or more cottage cheese, depending on the consistancy of the batter (you don't want it too thin or too thick).Cook on hot skillet until light brown. Serve with Smuckers Sugar-Free Syrup or just top with fresh berries! As mentioned you can make these pumpkin pancakes, banana pancakes, etc...the great thing is you can personalize this recipe!

For those of you who do not like cottage cheese: you can absolutely not taste it after cooking, but it a great source of protein. Next time I will try it with some pumpkin for added fiber.
The whole batch has 28 gr of protein. It makes 3 huge pancakes or 4 smaller size.
Enjoy

Another good way to make your pancakes contain more protein, Pam the pan you are going to use, and crack an egg in. Let it cook till one side is done, flip it, then pour the pancake batter of your choice over the top of it (completely covering it), and then resume cooking like it is a normal pancake.

I make them every time I can.

I had to google it...

I guess it is my version of that, then. It started off, for me, as an accident while trying to only use one pan while cooking pancakes and sunny side down eggs in college. It was effin amazing.

eggs in a basket, made with french toast instead of plain ole bread impresses females when you have sleepovers :)

the pancakes would work too :) a boy who can cook - is yummy :)

I made these minus the splenda and sugar free syrup (pass on the synthetic sugar and use a real one if you must imo) and added blueberries. I could taste the cottage cheese (barely) but i love cottage cheese so it's not a prob.

On their own without added fruit or something else they're bland but do look like pancakes - while i was making them i thought noway these will look like pancakes but they did ! :p

then I am without a doubt yummy, as are my pancakes made with the unborn children of the fowl.

Too funny! :smilielol5:

But I have to agree...guys that can cook immediately get 20+ hot points for me...probably because I was raised in a house where the man (aka the live-in gourmand, aka Daddy) does at least 50% of the cooking, if not more. :D

Protein Pancakes!

I came across this recipe for protein pancakes and omg they are delicious!!!

I thought I'd share:

1 cup uncooked oats
1 cup 1% cottage cheese
10 egg whites
2 tsp vanilla extract
Cinnamon to taste

Should yield about 6 pancakes

Blend it all up and pour 1/4 cup at a time onto a skillet, cook, serve with strawberries and sugarfree syrup! yum yum!

Entire recipe should have: 9g fat -- 54g carbs -- 86g protein

Yumo

You guys are right a man that can cook other than on a grill. Major points!!! :blush5: This really sounds good and I am going to try this this weekend. Thanks for the recipe.
