Progress: 60lbs down, more to go

Well, I started my weight loss journey in June last year when I weighed 273lbs/19 and a half stone. I'm 19 years old (18 when I started) and 5' 11''. I was sick of looking and feeling the way I did and knew that I had to do something. I started by just walking or going on the stationary bike. I started slowly and built up. I also started cut out the rubbish I had been putting into my body and trying to find new healthier things to eat. Since last June I have lost 60lbs, as of today and weigh 213lbs. I very happy with things so far, but still want to lose another 40-50lbs.

The past month or two I have been slacking. Not always eating as healthy as I could and not excercising as much as I should, but this week I have to get back on it, so I decided to post my progess pictures to give me some sort of accountability.

My ultimate goal is to be around 165-170lbs. Right now the goal I want to focus on is to lose at least another 20-30lbs by June for when I go on holiday.

My pictures are below. The bottom pictures are my current picture, just took today.

Amazing - I started at 272 and achieved 60lbs loss today as well.
It just took me an extra 30yrs to get to the point where I could do this - so well done for achieving it at such a young age - I so wish I had.
Well done.

Thanks everyone.

@subsoniic Just healthier eating and working out 4-5 days a week for 30-40 minutes. (i.e. treadmill, bike)

@BigBob Well done on your weight loss. Better late than never. You must feel the best you have in a long time. I know I do. Good luck with any more weight you want to lose.

Hm.. I had almost exactly the same experience as you.. I'm 6 feet, went from 267 to 200.. However your afters look way better then mine, I still have a belly..
Wonder why...

Where I come from, we call 5' 12" six feet. :smilielol5:

Great job! Take my advice, don't quit while you are ahead! Keep going. Once you lose that magical weight loss mode it becomes very hard to find it again. I STRONGLY recommend that you make resistance training part of your exercise regimen from here on out. It's going to help shape you, tone you, make you stronger, perform better and prevent some of the skin sag that you may or may not experience as you continue to lose weight.

Best of luck to you and once again, great job!

:smilielol5: that was a typo. I'm actually 5' 11'. Don't know why I put 12 :smilielol5: Thanks for the advice. I was actually thinking that I should start doing some resistance training. And I definately don't want to lose that state of mind. I did when I was younger and ended up even heavier than I had been. But, I'm not gonna let that happen this time.

Well then it appears we are the same height, 5' 11". :D

I'm glad you are strongly considering resistance training. I have always incorporated it somehow but I cut back a bit towards the end of my weight loss last year and I think it haulted some of my progress. Right now I am battling other issues but when you get close to your goal weight I believe it becomes even more important to include a regular program of resistance training.

Good luck to you and just keep on kicking ass my man!
