Problem with fitday.com

Earlier today I thought I'd have a go at using fitday.com. It's easy enough to use and pretty self-explanatory. However, the values of pre-determined foods, such as broccoli, do not allow you to specify the exact amount of food that you've just weighed. Merely, it only allows you to choose an approximate value, such as 1 cup, chopped or quantity not specified.

Anyone know how to do this properly?

Thanks for any help!

Some of them can be a little irritating that way. But for broccoli I use the measurement cups and then if I have half a cup I just put 0.5 cup. You will get the hang of it also if the measurement you used is not there you can find online converters all over the place, just google conversion. Don't worry you will get the hang of it. It took me a while bit I'm getting better at it.

Hi kgirl and thanks for the reply.

How much can you fit inside a measuring cup? I might have something kicking-around that can be used for the same purpose.

Dollface... looks like someone needs to invest in a set of measuring cups and spoons. ;) On a serious note, these things will come in handy when you really need to start paying mind to what exactly you can eat during your caloric allotment once your weight loss starts to slow down a bit. No guess work involved, just easy measuring and weighing of foods. Ciao, Col Doll...

Hey Sheryl,

Until reading your post I wasn't even aware that specific, weight loss measuring cups existed. I guess you live and learn...

I already weigh every single ingredient I consume and that's why I was annoyed that fitday doesn't allow you to enter your own weight value. Grrrrr...
