Plyo's for weightlifting.

hey there, i was just wondering if plyometrics are just for boosting your power level or if they are beneficial to strength training? in the max strength department would they aid in fiber recruitment or am i aiming in the wrong direction. thx.
 
For pure strength weight room numbers I don't really see a need for them. That and they can easily be over done and over used by someone who does not know what they are doing.
