Plateau idea (please advise)

Do you think the fact that im near a healthy bodyweight is also contributing to the plateau? At 5ft10 and 12st 4 its not an obese level. Although my scales say 25. 1-9 BF% which is borderline overweight. I want to be about 15% but god knows how long that will take.

By the way i got weighed using the in-store scales i used to use and it turns out i lost the weight i gained at xmas and lost a couple of pounds extra. Before xmas i got down to 12 stone 8, but a week later it went up again to 12 stone 9, which it stayed at for a while. Then at xmas i went up to 12 stone 12. Now i'm back at 12 stone 8 but this is the lightest ive ever been with clothes on.
In the morning with no clothes on i'm 12 stone 4. But weight loss has got really slow so i'll go off the diet for a while.

I have been out of town for a week or more, so sorry for the late response, but I started following a strength plan that Steve suggested and flew off my month long plateau and lost about 3.5 lbs in one week! I also increased my caloric intake as well.

I'm wondering EazyE, what is your strength plan and cardio plan like? Would you post it?

Cardio is just 10-15 minutes HIIT on a treadmill every day,

1 minute at 4mph
30 seconds and 10 mph

Weight lifting plan is full body 3 days a week:

Barbell squats
Deadlifts
Bent over barbell row
Barbell bicep curl
Barbell upright row
Dumbell lateral raise
Dumbell Flyes
Dumbell bench press
Standing barbell military press

What's your goal, it seems like you are all over the place! Have you decided that you didn't want to lose more weight/fat? Because it seemed this thread originally started with your plateau and wanting to lose more weight.

What has changed? Why the sudden shift? What happened when you started eating more toward your maintenance like Steve suggested? Did you gain any weight?

Based on what I have read, if you try to bulk up you are going to gain fat as well as muscle, and if you aren't working out as much, you will probably gain more fat than muscle. Are you SURE that you are ready for that? Do you have the dedication it takes?

I'm not trying to bust your chops, but it seems like A LOT of effort and if you have that at 14 or 15 (Sorry can't remember how old you are) while keeping up with school, girls, life etc, then good for you.

Weight lifting isnt a big deal.
All it takes is about 3 hours a week, why wouldnt i be able to keep up with everything else?

Now that you have answered the 6th question in the last post, why not go back and answer the other 5!

1)Have you decided that you didn't want to lose more weight/fat? (statement: Because it seemed this thread originally started with your plateau and wanting to lose more weight)

2-5)What has changed? Why the sudden shift? What happened when you started eating more toward your maintenance like Steve suggested? Did you gain any weight?

Maybe it is possible to bulk with only 3 hours a week of weight training, however, I don't know about that, so I'm not the best person to talk to. I do know that keeping up with your school work and everything else that goes along with being a teenager is hard. I don't know you, so you may not have the same type of life I had as a teen. Only you can make that decision about the time you have to spend.

I also suggest listening to some of those around here that are trying to help you and are bulking.
