Well I'll start out with a little information about me I just turn 23 at 5'6 feet I am at my heaviest 190bls. I have never imagine me at 190bls I don't know how it happen but it did and I am here to turn it around. No one in my family is overweight so it got to be my bad habits. Even at 190bls I never seen myself as being overweight I guess I was in denial for the longest time.

So yesterday a friend ask me how much I weight and express some concern is when I realized that I am not as healthy as i have thought.

I am here today the first day of my journey to 130bls.

I don't know what to said but i just want to write this down so I can come back and read when I need some motivation.

Welcome in. There is lots of good info here, and lots of friendly people. Read a bunch of the stickies they will help.

Do you have a plan yet?

Welcome, we don't bite I promise ^-^. It's good that you already have a goal weight in mind, I suggest you have months by months goals as well becuase it tends to be more motivating to meet them then just this the huge number you want to lose. There's plenty of people here who will give encouragement as best we can.

Thanks for your wonderful replies

reluctantcabbie : I see your little sticky and I so impress, what did you do to lose all those weights? how long did it took you ???

ladyumbra : I see you just started, well we can be weight loss buddy :) I'll happy to have someone to talk to and shared experiences with what are your plans ?

Well I am planning lose the pounds slowly so I did some research and 10bls a month seem to be the most effective and healthiest way to lose weight.

My goal for now because I have no idea what work :

- Sleep before 11
- Drink water
- no more fast food
- some exercise

These are the little changes I know I can stick with, I don't want to overwhelm myself with hour long exercise and little food because with work and school it is impossible to have a set plan. So I am cutting things out slowly and let my body adjust to the changes.

If thing work out well I should be at the goal by April ..... good luck to me :auto:

Heh, actually I've been on the boards almost a year. I've had a bad string of backsliding and being distracted by other things. However I've buckled down once again for the long haul.

Planwise I'm starting simple an 30- mins to an hour of exercise( probably ddr) everyday. I'm not completely cutting junk out of my diet but I am being more selective of what I eat and making I a goal to only eat at certain times to establish a meal schedule as opposed to constant snacking.

My best advice for you is measure yourself each week. You'll show more weightloss in inches than you will by what the scale tells you. Sometimes you will even lose no weight on the scale but your body will shrink on the tape measure.

what exercise exactly are you planning on doing? Also remember that while cutting out fastfood is good it means the food you make at home has to be healthier. You don't have to eat " less" when you lose weight but you do have to eat healthier. Yes you can use eating a few hundred less calories to create a deficit but you shouldn't be skipping a whole meals worth of food to do it.

Best of luck.
