You will definitely have awesome abs!

You have a good shape to work with and are going to look great when you're done. :D

You're starting to show some nice back development and I think your quads will look very nice soon. Keep working at it; you've got a great start.

i can relate to u, u look exactly as i used to and still look hehe
we both are same height and we are pear shaped, and legs are the place wher if u have stored cellulites they will take some times to go away
keep working ,your abs look great
a lower body program with some cardio will work best
looking great BTw
and Thanks BRADY for helping navygrl:D

Be afraid of what?

Nothing to be afraid of as far as I can see. You have an excellent base to start from - Looking good so far, do make sure you keep posting progress pics

Again, thanks guys! Its always good to hear some motivating comments. Sadie, you said lower body and cardio. ANy recommendations of what type of lower body activities I should do? just weights?

btw, I cant do squats because I dont have the best knees, so I try to steer clear of doing anything that may agrivate them. Need lower impact stuff...

hmmm

I would find a way to do squats, even if it is only small weight you can tolerate. Squat is one of the best excercizes for your legs, not to mention it works the largest muscles in your body. Find a way to do them, it will help you in the long run.

I definitely realize the advantange of squats, and its not the weight that affects me, its that actualy motion. Sometimes I do them with my back against a ball, and not just free standing. but the whole thing makes me nervous, especially since I have to do a fair amount of running for Navy stuff. I dont want to risk it...

I know other people have disparaged leg extensions and leg curls, but after I injured my knees (many years ago, coincidentally when I was in the Navy), I started doing leg extensions, first with light weights and up to a hundred reps and gradually with heavier weigths and lower reps (although I still stick with 12-15 reps) and the heavier the weights got the less knee pain I had. Now I run and squat a couple times a week and occasionally have a little pain the next day in one of my knees (the one I finally had to have surgery on). My recommendation is do whatever you can to strengthen the muscles around the knee (leg extensions and squats), and running will only get easier in the long term.

yeah, that sounds about right to me. I really need to get more involved with working out my legs. I dont know about anyone else, I but I find that i enjoy working on what I like about myself (ie upper body and abs) and completely avoid my legs because I hate to look at them...funny huh?
