Totally screwed myself up last year.. after losing 23 lbs, I allowed myself to slowly regain it all back. I know how and why it happened and I know what I have to do to make it go away again!

Not sure exactly what my weight is, but well, I'm starting over! I am going to retrain my eating habits and make things better and live healthier.

My exercising is not terrible, but every time I start running, my shin splints start acting up again. :( So, I need to do some things differently to avoid shin splints and keep myself active!

Welcome back...

First place I'd look for shin splints is your footwear...

Do make sure you're shoes fit you properly and are the correct shoe for how you run...

I'm so glad you made it back! Don't sweat the weight you put back on, I put a little back on myself in the past couple of months... 2009 is a new year though and we will take it all back off! I got a new pair of shoes too that I need to start running in again.

Wow, this year has been WAY hectic. I had LASIK surgery Jan 8th, started a new job on Feb 2--I now am up at 5:30AM and out the door by 6:15 and not home until 5:30. :( So, sorry I haven't been around more.

I totally need to come back and unfortunately (for the exercise part of it) I'll have some more time to now.

I completely tore my ACL and partial meniscus tear March 8th and have surgery scheduled for April 6th.. So what the heck is up with me and this 2009 year you say?? well, I'm thinking it's because I'm turning 30 in Nov. lol

So, I'm unable to exercise really now except doing upper body weights and some light elliptical and biking. After the 6th though, I'm not sure how long it'll take to get back into things. ..

On a separate note, I started the NutriSystem diet just to help get things moving along and lost 5 lbs my first week. So, I just hope that it keeps working for me while I'm not very mobile.
