Personal Training- Results

I just recently started with a personal trainer at the local gym. I'm 5'3 121 lbs. I train 3 (muscle tone/strength) days a week for 1 hour and do 40-50 minutes cardio 6 days a week. I'm in the middle of week 4 but haven't seen much results. I've lost about 4-5 lbs and 1/2 inch throughout my measurements. For those who have trained or exercise regular is this normal for a beginner? My trainer said I need to be up to 12 lbs weight loss but I'm not sure how that is possible since I do quite a bit of exercising now. Any advice?
 
remember, 1-2 lbs a week is normal healthy weight loss, it sounds like your right on track.
